    I appreciate that, but sometimes it could be out of the club's control that a deal wasn't concluded. I know it's disappointing. We're needing another centre midfielder and I can't think of any free agents in that position now.

    I'm reasonably content with our lot at the moment and over time we will shape the squad as the manager sees fit. Sometimes buying someone just to keep "disillusioned" supporters like yourself happy is the wrong move.

    Maybe we tried and failed to get the targets we had?

    Despite what people think.Brendan is not a big spender,he wont rush into signings and wont sign anybody for the sake off it.

    Took him 2 seasons at liverpool before he started spending some real dough and it was only because all there top players were leaving.that year liverpool nearly won the title there team was threadbare with the likes of victor moses,aspas as backup.he still didnt spend that janaury window that year because brendan didnt see anyone he liked.

    Still would have been nice to sign someone.
