There were lots of other priorities which we seem to have sorted over the time period.

Who is saying were panic buying for the sake of it?

Its been reported we were in for a midfielder for nearly a week now. Right after the secured Group Stages of the CL.

Has to be acknowledged, not getting in a solid CM is not acceptable. Simple.

    Thanks.

Well, Rodgers has obviously stated which players he wants for particular positions and they will have been ordered by priority. I'm disappointed too, but perhaps Rodgers didn't feel that the players available to us were of the correct quality. Perhaps the players he wanted weren't able to complete deals with us.

Qualifying for the CL group stages so close to the deadline is always going to make things tight for us in concluding deals.

think of the tribute act across the city, we run a good ship where we do not overspend just for the sake of it. as has been previously stated, how much should we spend??????? £30m or £50m or even £100m to keep up in the CL that we cannot afford just to keep up with the jones's. get fookin real, we are a Scottish club with an operating cost of approx. £60m, do your sums if you can and work out the difference in our incomings and outgoings then divide that into transfer fee and salary to show what we should have to spend on transfers plus a good business plan will always contain a fee (savings for contingency). wake up and get it into that dormant organ you refer to as a brain, there is only so much we can afford to pay. PL should be lauded for running the club the way he does and keeps us not only afloat but allows the club to make the signings the club has signed over the last month.

What I mean is, the club won't just sign a player for the sake of it, just because the player we wanted couldn't be signed.

    Alex O'Henley‏ @OHenleyAlex

Celtic wanted Jason Denayer back had Simunovic deal gone through but Man City preferred an EPL loan hence Sunderland. Galatasaray also keen

Considering we have the CL Group Stages to play it would be really important to get players over the line.

No ambition to make the last 16 of the CL. Every other club is stretching there budget.

Lawell knows we are in good shape for the SPFL and has pocketed the UCL as a bonus for the club. Sad really.
