    It's not a case of who will replace them. More a case of what would we do if they got injured.

    We are woefully short in the DM department.

    That's why I'm confident, Brendan knows the score and will want cover in there, ergo we will sign a midfielder tonight.

    Bitton is the only natural holding midfielder there, mcgregor and Armstrong are never defensive midfield quality for Europe, you could get away with it in Scotland. I think it's vital we get a player who's primary job is too break up the play.

    I cant see Rogic and Bitton in the same midfield so that makes one place empty as Armstrong and McGregor are pish. One quality signing is a must and a second potential one would be nice.

    By midfield we aren't counting the wingers either.

    Purely looking at CM options it is bleak. We lack quality in there and teams are still able to play through us too easy.

    At times games can just bypass Brown and Biton.

    At CL level, it's nowhere near good enough.

    Plus Bitton has the tendency to hide when things aren't going our way.
