Im sure if Mogga had got 20% of the luck our rivals have had this season and a few referee decisions at key times in key games we would be sitting a few points closer if not ahead of our rivals. Anyone whos got a objective look on us will realise a lot has gone against us this season.

The huns have been predictably boring yet clinical. Lets not forget they dropped a lot of points with the same squad earlier at Rugby Park, Pittodrie etc and could go through a slump.

The media have been quick to have a go at Mogga at any opportunity but when the things that have gone against us are presented as a case its down to Celtic paranoia and discredited as an argument.

This guy deserves the opportunty to gel a young side that he's trying to put together, of course there will be mistakes along the way but us howling at them at the slightest mistake isnt going to help them.

Lets back this guy noone compained this bad when MON or WGS lost a title. Get behind the team for the rest of the season and if we get a bit of luck you just never know what could happen.

stickin up for wgs m8? remember adam virgo? only 1.5m! how about momo camara? paul telfer perhaps?maybe you prefered the legendary evander sno!and youd like to have given strachan 10-15m?feckin * m8 we were pish under strachan dont kid yourself, anyone who thinks caldwell mcmanus is a solid cb pairing needs a shake,he was a decent coach who could bring a young player on but signed a load of donkeys n rangers were * poor for his first two seasons, they still are pish but better organised now,not sayin mowbray is the definite answer but i look forward to watchin us these days for entertainment at least

I am sick to death of Celtic fans labeling our own fans paranoid. Do you know the defenition of the word 'paranoid'?

    spot on. Agree 100%

it took strachan 4 years to make us the complete shambles we were at the end of last season yet people expect Mowbray to fix it all in 6 months. Clueless. Completely clueless

allowing strachan to buy duds from the spl took us downhill so fast we're still trying to recover. Post Fergus I never thought I'd again see players of the standard of Naylor, Wilson, Flood or Killen play for Celtic again.

it is a great article. But tbh Mowbray might aswell stay on and see the job through til the end of the year and then we can assess it then. Tis a bad time to be a celtic fan, but it's not all the managers fault - although I am starting to doubt his man management skills. Guys like Boruc, McGeady, Brown, Maloney etc who you would consider to be key players have contributed little to nothing this season and I feel if the manager goes then they should go aswell. Bringing the axe down on one head will not solve the big problem we have. OUR PLAYERS ARE CRAP FOOTBALLERS.

Fans that think theyre due the title because our rivals are skint.

Im shocked now ny the spoilt nature of our fans. They claim to be one thing then act like another.

Bearing in mind we're playing a team with not unrealistic designs on taking our second place at the end of the season tomorrow.I'd say we should be thinking about WINNING first-then a bit of entertainment would be nice.As we stand under current circumstance, the luxury of doing the fancy-dan is simply NOT ON tomorrow Sean.Title ambitions may be fantasy to some yes,but finishing 3rd or 4th even?-"watching/entertainment"? The Marquis De Sade would be proud of you!

I dont think mowbray has this team playing fancy dan football but what he has done has gave this team the ability to create numourous chances in several games this season, now he has got some decent fire power the goals will be flowing in thats what entertains me.
we just need a couple of center backs to shore up the defence!

dont mean to b patronising lunatic, but try to see the bigger picture mucker, sure its been a season to forget so far,but we are improving in an attacking sense and i would much rather see us playing quality football that could stand us in good stead for european competition, than resort to the anti football tactics of our much despised simian neighbours that is driving people away from football stadia and into tesco/b and q etc of a weekend, give the man time

So going by that argument you didn't expect us to win the league this season? and it's not mowbary's fault we are not winning the league it's strachans even though mowbary had all summer and january to put together a team? :56::56:and the previous manager won us 3 in a row and made it into the last 16 of the CL twice and only lost last season on the last day.

:50:Really very smart poster we have on our hands people.

TBH.. mate i would rather have supporters who know what they are saying on the forum and in the stands.

I just think the timing of this article was *.

The board made their position clear the other day and their position is that they are behind Tony Mowbray. Then Peter Martin writes that Mowbray is a 'dead man walking' a couple of days later. Twatt!

Tony Mowbray is a better football manager than Peter Martin is a pundit I can tell you that much.

In the summer he only signed 3 players fortune who was injured for 2 months Fox who has now been sold on for a profit which has enabled to strengthen in other areas and nguemo, so its hardly alot of business in the summer, we are only 3 weeks from the last deadline and mowbray now has more of the type of players he wants bearing in mind he never got any of the 2 cbs that they were trying to sign.
I remeber the stands at the end of last season and a lot of people werent happy.

He makes a valid point without explaining it in great detail for the hard of understanding , that after 4 years at a club working in the same league under virtually the same constraints and virtually playing against the same opposition , a manager should be in a stronger position than when he took over the club in the first place..
Im sure he knows about the last 16 twice and 3 titles and is more than thankfull for that success but doesn't need to bring up every time he mentions Gordon Strachan as neither of those achievements are actually relevant to his final season in charge or the state he left the club in which is the point he was making...

Your idea of taking the league down to the last couple of games of the last season is nice , but the reality was turning a 7 point lead (should have gone to 10 points when 2-0 up at home to Dundee Utd) into a 4 point deficit.. 11 point swing..

He's not blaming Strachan if TM fails to win this seasons league but if TM does fail to win the league , then it would acceptable to say that transition which was required due to inheriting a team that had capitulated in the face of it's first real domestic challenge last season , (actually make that 2nd real challenge because the year ealier was close untill the hun capitulated) was a factor..

The team was applauded off the park on the last day of last season, It's now they're not happy if you look at the stands now so don't kid yourself.

That is my point exactly he had plenty of time to get players in and didn't.

    What is mowbray's job?

Why was he brought to the club?

And why are you so * bent (Like alot of other posters) on bringing down the achievements of a very sucessful manager for us and bigging up one who has been shown to be incompatent.

I take it all these posters who are bringing the "you can't win the title in your first season argument" didn't expect us to win the league thise season?

Very well put mate, thankfully there are some intelligent people on here who can actually see the job that Mowbray is trying to do.

Frank I find it rather ironic that you say strachans team were applauded off the park last year this despite the fact they were a disgrace from January onwards yet so many of these "supporters" are hounding Mowbray out and all agreeing with the vile * Peter McGuire and his rediculous articles. The same journalist who was treated with the utter distain he deserved by MON due to the fact he's just a fat clueless clown
