That's one narrative. Another is we refuse to pay decent wages to our key players and instead give the money to * like Duffy and Ajeti. Let's face it, if his name was O'Christie he'd still be here.

Celtic are well-known for being * to homegrown players because they know they can easily make them villains. Don't believe any narrative coming from this board.

You don’t find form on the bench unfortunately.

His main issue is he can't keep up with the pace and becomes exhausted way too early in the match. Bench him and work on his athleticism.

Needs rested on Sunday and severe work on his fitness. Great player on his day but looks burnt out already. Wouldn’t play much if any with Scotland so should get a good rest over next 2 weeks.

He would tire carrying a carton of whole milk back from the shops. There's a player in there though, but he's been gash recently

Why do you think KT moved to the EPL. That deal alone told me for most players money will be more important than the shirt. Even the badge kissers have a price.

Yep, nothing new there. It’s the same reason we get players.

See what I said above about the board happily making players the villains. Some players move on because there is vastly more money to be made (and we’re VERY happy to sell them). At the same time, we’re notorious for treating homegrown/scottish players like * because the support will immediately vilify them.

Put it this way: No one is questioning why our board didn’t ensure one of our better players that we needed this season has been kept on a decent contract. Everyone instead has immediately assumed he’s an evil money grabbing *.

Bit easy if you ask me.

That is bullshit. Christie was on a pittance and it wasn’t addressed when he was on his best form. He was probably seeing squad players sitting on the bench getting more. As far as I was aware the lad was on around £7,000 per week. I may be wrong but wasn’t much more. We have to look after the talent we hold and not take them for granted.

Christie had a contract offer for * ages and he stalled and stalled and if I remember correctly he even said there is contract talk but there is no rush. Aye there was a rush to * off for epl gold. That is fair enough but just do not bullshit us, be honest and open like larsson was and we will accept that. He even said there would be no precontract because he was worried Celtic would drop him for the last 6 months of his contract.

That sounds like a player that had no confidence in the board to look after him or his career. I just can’t accept the opinion that the players are * for * off to somewhere they feel wanted and the money matters of course but the board can’t continue to undervalue our talent that we possess. It is not enough these days to play for the jersey and feeling grateful at being at Celtic. We are trying to compete with teams that should be nowhere near us and that means looking after your own and to reward success.

Money is a big part but of late I do think development is becoming an increasing issue too.

Some of that we can’t do much about being in Scottish football. On the other hand hiring ex players or relations of ex managers as coaches can’t help. Like McManus loved the guy as a big honest CB but he was probably one of the most technically limited professional footballers you’ll ever see.

Celtic should be very clear in our model, we will bring you in as a talent, Develop you over 2-3 seasons, get you used to playing in that pressure of having to win and give you a platform to move to one of the bigger leagues making a profit on you.

The fact we haven’t been in the Champions League for so long also doesn’t help that sell to players anymore, nor does the chat about players wanting to go and being kept for another season.

Don’t get me wrong money is a big part of it but I think we are eroding our reputation for young players that might have previously came here to prove themselves.

He's either Jaded due to too many games played, incapable of the system trying to be implemented or in some of the worst form he's either been in. No matter what I think he needs a rest for a few games to allow him to get his head back in the game.

He is getting a lot of stick, too much for me. He was shocking, no doubt about that but he’s still young and very inexperienced especially at that level. He’s expected to be one of the main men for us, because he can be and has the talent. He has that expectation of himself and the fans have that expectation but he needs leeway to grow as a player.

As much as I was going mental during the game as well.

And I could copy/paste the exact same for Abada.

Right now, I would start Bitton ahead of him for Sundays game, and bring him on for Tam second half.

Absolutely agree with this and never thought I would. It allows McGregor a lot more freedom as well.

Then it’s a straight choice between Turnbull and Rogic. Turnbull’s more dangerous at getting goals and assists, Tam is more dangerous at making us play and others play better.

Depends what you think we need more. I think I’d go Turnbull, because Bitton and McGregor should control it

What was the offer he had? £7k -> £10k per week or something like that? Would you accept that when you’re 25 years old and a key player and every other * is on much more?

Accept it or you can spend the next 2 years earning £7k per week until your contract runs out. Which is what he ended up doing while Celtic are throwing money at Elyounoussi, Duffy, Ajeti etc.

Again, the details are all speculation but the board is well known for * over ‘Celtic’ men because supporters immediately turn on them.

There is no doubt some element of greed but that will not be the whole story. It’s very easy to be ‘honest and open’ like Larsson when you’re an international superstar earning £40k per week.

Cesar was known to get in contact with Celtic-supporting prospective signings to warn them not to let the club * them over.

Honestly it does not matter what the offer was because with all the best will in the world it would be no where near epl wages. It was spoken about long enough before he left how he would be chatting to Scottish lads who were playing down there and finding out what sort of money was available.
Even our top earners can double their wages by moving south and the rumour going round during last window was eddy was looking for 70k a week to move, so in all honesty who the * would stay at Celtic when they can get anything from 30k-70k down south.
The amount of money Larsson was on had nothing to do with his honest and open way he treated the fans. Again i would rather players stayed so we do not spend every single season trying to fill holes, but I understand why they leave...life is short. But get to * with all the bullshit and badge kissing when you are looking for ways to leave. Like Frimpong and his stupid statement....its good to be home, aye ok you was here for something like 18 months FFS.

At 22 he was always going to have inconsistent spells..

He has class, but maybe hasn't really shown it enough against the Huns or in Europe. There's definitely a player there, it will be interesting to see how Ange manages him..

Leave him out or play him through the poor spell.
