Aye. One wonder goal at that level but, like Charlie Adam (albeit he’s levels about that dud). Can see it. Ball falls to him on the counter in acres of space, and he smashes home from 30 yards. Writes itsel.

Had really high hopes when he signed but it never really happened for him.

He was a decent squad player that chipped in with some crucial and spectacular goals. Will miss his goals but not his torn face.

    All the best to him

Wish him well. Pity his mobility didn't match his eye for a goal.

Wasn't a bad player and flashed some real ability at times but nowhere near enough to get a game every week.

Was excellent for 6 months of ange reign then a ruptured hammy and the signing of matt and hatate he never got a look in. Best of luck to the lad

    Disappointed to see him leave.

31 goals and 23 assists in 134 games. Very useful contribution from a squad player.

Essentially a goal or assist per 2.4 games across league/cup/Europe.

Who's gonna fill those goals/assists off the bench or rotated start? Holm? Iwata? McCarthy? Especially when you consider O'Riley could be gone this summer and Bernardo is on loan.

I’m not disappointed to see him leave at all. Some of his performances lately have been pathetic. He’s a guy who’s obsessed with notching goals for his own stats imo. Whenever he plays, we are a worse team. Sick of him at this stage but good luck to him.

£2m decent money considering he could've signed a pre-contract. Made a good contribution especially in Ange's first 6 months, just not dynamic enough to be a regular here. Good luck to him.

I think I agree with this.

He's a great example of how goals aren't everything in football. It's a very shallow way to understand the game.

I think Palma is like a slightly better version of Turnbull.

Has great stats but doesn't really do all that much else in the game. He will have more goals than Jota did last year by the time the season ends and he already has the same amount of assists but it's night and day.

Jota was and is miles better and far more suited to us.

Ahh I don't know yet. There's definitely shades of Turnbull with regard to stats but I think Palma has been really unlucky so far in terms of assists because he's putting the ball on a plate quite a lot but we're failing as a team to convert.

100% Jota is much better though.

Done us a good turn since signing from Motherwell.

Two league titles. Two Scottish Cups, and two League Cups. Also part of a double and treble-winning squad. Not to mention has contributed with just under 55 goals and assists in 130 odd games. Not bad going at all for a young Scottish player. Got his goal in the Glasgow derby too in the 4-0 rout last season.

But it's clear he just couldn't up the levels when we got better players in the door and, sadly, he could barely make any sort of mark in Europe. Consistently loses the ball and is caught in possession against better teams. His passing in Europe is also pretty pathetic for a player of his perceived ability.

O'Riley stated at the start of the season that Turnbull was "too good" not to play football. But the truth is I think he hears that far too often from people around him instead of actively trying to get better.

I wish him well. I think he's going down to his level.

For me, he achieved more here than many with his limited mobility and ability would've.
