David Turnbull

Tbf I like the guy but he isn’t doing enough for me at present to merit a start,doesn’t seem to be able to grab a game by the scruff of the neck , on form he can be smashing but not really been on form for a while

 

I don’t disagree about his current form. He’s off it at the moment, but I think some are being harsh on him at the moment and is going to be a great player to have in the rotation when the season gets proper busy.

Currently Hatate is our man, but we all saw how much he tailed off when he was playing too much and the use of Turnbull will be important to keep Hatate fresh and performing.

 

I like Turnbull, and i think he's a decent player but i dont see him becoming much better then he is now. A good squad player to have.

 

I agree, him and O’Riely are yet to get going, although Turnbull has been better than O’Reily. They will both come good and be very important for us.

 

Make or break season for him i think he could go on to be a regular for Club and Country or end up a decent squad player, Like mentioned above he doesn't seem to influence games and he's not taking digs from 25-30 yards anymore which is a strength of his.

Aye he played well all night I thought..

They couldn't really get near him..

 

Much better from him tonight especially in the 1st half. Thought he faded for a spell in the 2nd but that's ok. Just needed a bit more from him tonight.

Actually looks a bit quicker when pressing and was doing it very late on to their keeper..

 

No left foot and has the turning circle of a WWII aircraft carrier, but I don't know, I kind of like him.

 

Was my call for MOM at full time. He normally fades out of games after promising start but put in a shift last night.

Hope we get a new contract sorted for him soon. Still got plenty of developing to do under Ange and cba with another Armstrong situation come the summer.

 

He’s the type of player that’s great to bring on against tired legs, he isn’t fast but turns players so easily and always contributes a goal or assist.

Just a very tidy player overall.

 

His stats speak for themselves when he plays. Always involved in goals.

Our support are so quick to doubt when a player is in poor form. He would benefit from a run of games but such is the level competition atm isnt guaranteed a place. But competition breeds improvement.
He will be needed this season and will be ready to play a big part when called upon.

 

He ripped Goldson and left him for dead with a turn and also left Lundtram on his * after he tried to slide tackle and Turnbull got to it easy and played it out wide..

Can't mind exactly but think that might've led to the Juranovic shot that Turnbull then scored from the resulting goal kick but could be wrong..
