Our depth in the middle of the park is crazy!

The 5 subs will be a huge advantage for us when/if everybody is fit. Replacing, say, Hatate and Rogic with Turnbull and O'Riley gives us a great opportunity to maintain levels of intensity and quality right throughout the game. Any of Bitton, Guchi, McCarthy can spell McGregor. Not to mention Abada, Jota, Forrest, Maida, Kyogo, GG all rotating as well. And then throwing Mikey Johnston on just for a laugh.

Wouldn't be wanting to move him on too quickly.

We've seen how quick depth can change in what is usually a 65-70 game season for us.

There's plenty of game time for guys to get 30 games each. So many different combinations. Could easily play a midfield of Oriley at 6, Turnbull 8 and Rogic 10 against a St Mirren or someone at home.

Hes also only 22. His shooting accuracy and vision is underrated, for me. Competition can only be a good thing.

He's going to be an important member of the squad. Should we move on Bitton or Guchi cause we have McGregor?

    It will probably be:

    McGregor/Ideguchi
    Hatate/Turnbull
    Rogic/O'Riley

Bitton acting as emergency back up. Turnbull will be an important player when he comes back.

Turnbull along with Rogic carried the midfield for the first 6 months of the season and they both done a very good job.

Our style of play means that it is mental that those two alone had to carry that burden playing nearly every game with no rest.

He will benefit from a bit of rotation in there and it will allow us to see him at his peak. Still a very important player for us for the remainder of the season.

Don’t wanna be too harsh but don’t see him being much more than a rotation player now. For me he doesn’t get in ahead of mcgregor rogic o Riley or hatate. Lot of games though so I’m sure will be used in rotation

Spot on. The sheer weight of games we play in a season and the style Ange wants us to play we for sure need at least 2 players for each of the 3 central midfield spots no doubt about that and Turnbull is a very good player IMHO who hopefully will thrive with the competition for playing time in our central midfield now. Plus as you say the lad is only 22 now plenty of time and room for him to grow as a player.

McCarthy in there as well in the rotation at 6 and as we have seen both with Ange's style and the sheer volume of games having 8 senior players in there with the 6 you list above as well as Biton and McCarthy is what we need.
Soro for me is just not in the plans so will be best for him and Celtic if he is sold this summer.

He will definitely need to up his game which might just happen now that he's been joined by some really good players

Now that he won’t have to play two sets of 90 minutes per week will allow him to be sharper. Think we’ll see a resurgence of him when he comes back. Like Jota, don’t expect him to get massive minutes, he’ll be eased in.

Hopefully he will also not have to suffer the ridiculous type of challenges that were made on him from opposition players prior to his injury in practically every game he played

Yeah some of the challenges going in on him are disgraceful. Sick of it for all our players.

Good to hear he’s maybe not far away now. But with our depth in midfield making the bench will be an achievement for some of our midfielders.

With the quality we now have in the middle of the park, he wont be in starting 11 but should still have a part to play.

People forgetting how many injuries we get.

No chance we make it to the end of the season without a few more knocks here and there, so the more quality options the better.

Pretty sure he’s top for goals and assists in central midfield still too.

That's because apart from McGregor he's played more minutes than everyone else still. His stats:

    Starts: 33
    Minutes played: 2,840
    Goals: 9
    Assists: 7
    Total = 16 G/A

Pretty good stats to be fair. Here's Rogic's:

    Starts: 24
    Minutes played: 2,021
    Goals: 5
    Assists: 9
    Total: 14 G/A

So Rogic has 2 less goal contributions in roughly 9 less games. He does play closer to the goal, but Turnbull takes all set pieces. Both carried the weight of the midfield very well for the first half of the season. The fact we have Hatate and O'Riley now is just magic. Personally, I don't see Turnbull featuring too much if everyone is fully fit, especially if the rest are scoring goals.

The amount of games he played in the calendar year as well was taking its toll.
Don't know how mcgregor ever does it. Think they both played 60+ games just constant.
    Machines man.
Think we will see a better Turnbull when he's back
