I think I've mentioned that James has been a great goalie at club level. But imo we don't need a 39 year old GK. Wehave Zaluska who I think is capable of doing a grand job, and tbh I think Boruc (on his day) spoiled us. Thnk of the GK's we did have. Douglas, Hedman etc before Boruc. Differencewas taht our CB's were a lot better tha the dross that has graced our line in recent years. So, Zaluska is a good keeper and can do a good job so we need to improve the CB situation (new GK or not). So I think we should get a GK for a cheap price that should challenge the no.1 spot. Let's face it James is on 40k p/w easy, so let's get a GK that would maybe cost £1mil, 8-10K p/w, which would still be less than James' 40k a week.

zaluska isnt good enough hence the reason he was signed as a second chioce keeper. ross county and st mirren games was all i had to see of him. there is no fee for james and at 39 is still a top class keeper. plus all his experience can only be good for our squad. finding good keepers for not a lot of money isnt an easy thing to do as mon found out when he made about 5 attempts to sign one with us and didnt find a good one among them

those "calamity james" days are well behind him , sure he is prone to the odd error , as are some of the worlds best keepers ,he has been brilliant for pompey and age shouldnt be a problem , we wont do better business than picking up a keeper with his experience.

This is will be a great signing.
IMO we'll get two seasons out of one of the most experienced keepers in the world.
Zaluska and Cervi will learn a lot and this can benefit our club massively.

+1...I wouldnt even care what his wages are..as long as there not too ridiculous, he is easily a better keeper than Zaluska and brings the experience of being the most capped EPL player and the record for EPL clean sheets. Two good years out of him to kick off the Lenny Revolution and then he can join the coaching staff :50:

four leaf clover, just cant get enough.
Sign him up. Zaluska doesnt do much for me and Cervi is a long ways away from being a 1st team keeper at the Celtic level.

I think James would be solid in the goal, we need another good kepper otherwise we could get puniched in the long run.

I think your right in saying that having James might tempt Sol to join. I think both would add that experience were lacking.

    Btw you from South Africa?

    Please not David James!

Zaluska is at least as good as him, I think even better...
