Mental tournament. Canny call anything with any certainty. Wide open for any of the players left to win it.

Cross v Littler is such an intriguing matchup. Littler edges it on scoring power. Cross edges it on clinical finishing. * all in it on both fronts. If it goes deep you’d have to give Cross the mentality and stamina edge. Littler is more likely to run away with an early lead.

Really is anyones game. I’m inclined to think Cross gets it done. Is it just one step too far for a child?

Hoping Cross beats this wee oddity, he certainly has the momentum though.

    Imagine wanting him to lose.

It would be one of the best stories in sport ever if he won it ffs.

Littler just toyed with Cross. Absolutely pumped him, and that was Cross playing well.

Littler has got the arrogance that you need when you are that good, but also has composure in big moments as well. Just so so good.

    It will be an epic.

I think Humphries will have too much for him personally, he’s just a thoroughbred winner now. He’s made himself very, very, difficult to beat no matter what version of his game he has on any given night.

Would love Littler to do it though.

Humphries was very fortunate to beat Pietreczko. At one point it looked like he had given up. He hasn’t looked back since then though, and has got better every game. That was really impressive tonight from him. He won’t dominate Littler like he did Williams though, so there will be more pressure on him throughout the game. Very interesting final ahead.

He’d have lost the Pikachu game last year, he’s a different animal this now he’s sorted himself physically and mentally.

Humphries has lifted 3 consecutive major titles since October. He’s now won 17 consecutive matches including the scalps of the likes of Cullen, Chisnall, MVG, Searle x2, Cross, Wade x2, Anderson x2. He won his last two games with averages of 103.5 and 108.5.

All this, yet he’s a narrow 4/6 favourite to get it done against a 16 year old making his debut.

Littler has averaged over 100 4 times on that stage now. To put that into context, Gerwyn Price has averaged over 100 5 times there in his career.

It’s been an absolute pleasure to watch both of them and I really can’t wait for the game. Darts has come a long way since 2012 when Lewis sparked Hamilton with a 93 average to win the final.

It´s not often you get to watch sporting history as it happens.
Win or lose tonight, Littler is the man of the moment.

Humphries will edge it I think, but Littler is in with a good chance.

    Bring it on!

    Worst take of all time.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone say they categorically dislike darts.

Even people I know who aren’t overly in to it can follow it and find some interest due to the drama and simplicity of it.

I only occasionally tune in to watch darts, but I'll be watching tonight.

He has helped lift the profile of darts and darts clubs.
