Danny Majstorovic

I think he's a decent signing i just don't think he's used to playing for a team where you have to win every game. When he makes mistakes they are going to matter and he will be in for a lot of criticism where as in other teams he's played for this probably hasn't been the case. I say let him settle in and we will see how he is in a few months.

 

Maybe if we binned the zone marking we might see a different player rather than lookin if we will lose a goal at every set piece

 

Mastorovic is not bad, not great either for me too slow. our defence has been too slow for a few years now and this means their mistakes are usually punished as they don't have any speed to recover.

 

I think he's been a good signing too. But he is definitely not that quick. He needs a fast, mobile partner to complement him, and he hasn't been given one yet. If we can get someone over the summer that fits the bill, I'd reckon once they've developed their partnership Danny will start to shine.

 

he is very solid and descent for sweden and has faced spain germany and proper attackers so i think its our high defensive line or some other tactic that makes life harder for him. also i think the recent cockups arent really lack of "quality" rather complacency

 

What worries me most, is that he is a manmountain shitebag.

He ducked out of Ian Black's shot which went in off his baldy heid & he's been seriously outjumped by much smaller guys at freekicks far too many times to be called mistakes - he's basically just as * as all our other recent CBs.

He's so bad in the air it's not even funny & it's nothing to do with his partner. O'Dear is better than him, at least he's not a shitebag.

Yes he's made a couple of mistakes, but show me a defender who doesn't ? If it wasn't for him we would have been well done over in a few games ! In the last three games the protection given to our defence by our midfield is * non existent ! Sooner Broony or Kayal is back , the better !

Since the Huns game he has been either been very unlucky, woefully out of form, short of confidence, just plain bad or a combination of all of these. There has been 1 game since that day that he has performed well; the Cup match v St J. Even in that game he was at least partially responsible for allowing the free header for one of the goals.

Lenny speaking after the game on BBC, the first position he talked about strengthening in January was CB... and if I were Daniel Maj, I'd be thinking that it could well be his spot that is in more jeopardy and under pressure than Rogne's ATM.

Going to hold my hands up and say I though he was the answer to our CB problem, he seemed like a big, no nonsense centre back, just what we were needing.

However, his latest performances suggest he's not that much better than what we currently have, maybe we should be looking to buy a brand new central defence pairing in January, this could be risky mid-way through the season though.

However, I do still think we could possibly get by if we brought in a partner with a bit of pace about him. An experienced, pacey, central defender to partner Maj at the very least come January.

 

perhaps maj could play second fiddle to a proper central defender but he's no captain. just clueless out there today

Anyone coming round to the idea of actually giving him a chance in the leauge where hes done much better than Danny?

 

There's been a couple of games where I've sat and thought 'He's no better than McManus'. But on the whole, he's done ok. Needs another defender to take the pressure off him as there have been important challenges that he's won. It may be his age that means his quality is diminishing slightly?
