I agree with you in principle @The_Bhoy

I don't think we give our promising young players, a decent chance of breaking into our first team, and that's a shame, because it is a big disincentive to budding starlets to come to Parkhead, and allows our competitors to scoop up the cream of the crop. From what I have seen of him he looks a good player, and I don't think West Ham would be pushing for him, if they didn't rate him. Could be a sign we are keeping Cummings as an insurance policy, just in case we fail to get our striker option.

It doesn't look like he's actually signed a pre contract with them just yet.

 

It's possible that the club are waiting to see what our striker situation is going to be, before letting him go this window.

"Wanted to let you all know Daniels news.
He’s signed a pre contract with West Ham. The opportunity is life changing. He’s buzzing and we are so excited for him.
Celtics offer was disappointing - too little, too late. And let’s face it, Dan would have been at least fourth choice striker….so would never get a chance.

Tribunal is only for players staying in the same country is it not? Why we got Dembele for peanuts, had he gone to a PL team they probably would have had to pay a few million to Fulham.

 

To be fair though, Antonio has seen off about 50 strikers at his time at West Ham … I trust Rodgers judgement on this one, I’ve never been particularly impressed with him.

The league Celtic B play in is a huge problem in terms of developing players.

 

More disappointing in losing Vata than this boy can’t say I’m fussed wish him good luck none the less.

 

See being honest what is the point in not just letting him go at this stage? Take the £600k and send him on his way.

He clearly is going to West Ham either now or the summer. He is not getting a chance here even if we sign no other striker today, which I think we will bring in at least a loan.
