The contracts are getting crazier all the time man. I heard yesterday that Inter were going to offer Modric a 6 year contract, consisting of 4 years at Inter, and 2 at Inter's Chinese club.

 

Exactly that, at least they are selling players though and not being like Chelsea and loaning players out until they are 24 ruining their careers.

Fair enough, however they may look at it as showing the fanbase they are recruiting. If he is signed today I wouldn't be surprised if he came out at half time.

 

What's the hold up if medical is passed and terms agreed.

 

I think our agreement with City is agreed, however his transfer to City has not gone through yet. However it could have all gone through they just want to announce later. A press conference for Arzani on the day of a big match would be odd.

That suggests to me that it's a Celtic medical passed.

 

I mind abut 3 years ago Chelsea signed a guy Djilobodji or something on a free transfer from the French League, loaned him to Sunderland and Sunderland signed him in the January for £8million or something.

It's common in Italy as well, Udinese were one of the main teams who done it, they used to have about 60 players in their squad but they loaned out about 35 a season and sold them at profits - they may still do it.

It's a clever way to make money really if you are in a bigger League where you have the option of loaning guys out to decent teams. If the SPFL had decent enough money we could probably pick up everyone like Kenny McLean, Scott Allan, Ryan Jack on free transfers and then loan them out and sell them for small profits to teams like Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen but our Leagues skint and they canny even afford to buy players for money.

 

So is there definitely an option to buy? If so this could be a fantastic signing
