Aye same. Basically laughed as well :giggle1:

That pitch was terrible for a player like him as well so was pleasing what he contributed..

That’s my favourite thing about him, he likes a battle and likes to put his pace to the test running hard right at *.

Really can’t remember us having a squad this strong. So many different options to mix it as well, * class.

With a more sensible supply at times he would have been set up for a few goals.

He’s doing fine and I see a few goals on the horizon.

I think his intelligence in his movement and timing of his runs is probably his most underrated attributes.

A lot of the talk on him is his out and out pace and work rate and yeah he isn’t the best player technically but he does understand the game and where and when he should make runs.

As you say today a couple of simple square balls and he has a couple of goals. He done very well for the opener today.

Good movement and then the cross for Kyogos goal was actually very good and required a very deft touch when running at speed. Another goal contribution.

I love him so much...genuinely think he's my favorite.

If when I was questioning him starting games ahead of Abada he goes on to get stronger in each game.

Don't know how Ange will keep the squad happy but what a team he is building honestly.

Impressive stats there, didn't think they would be as good as that from what I seen watching the game. Keep it up big man.

When you have someone who offers as much as he does in terms of work rate and effort, it’s hard to drop him. His final ball can be better at times, and he isn’t the best finisher, but what he lacks, he more than makes up for. He will still chip in with goals and assists. He will be crucial for us when it comes to Champions League.

Caught a bit of SSB last night, and somebody (I don’t know who, hope somecunt does) talking bout playing against him and pointed out you’ve not actually even seen him sweating after a game and his workrates * monstrous.

For me though, if he’s the option to start, it needs to be on the right. Don’t think it effects the way he plays being on the right the glimpses we’ve seen, and Jota on the left is lethal. Look what Jota’s done from the left so far this year and he’s barely had the chance of playing there. Could make the point switching wings gives him that opportunity but I think he does it regardless

I could imagine if we are having to play a more route one type of game in a European setting having in the middle could be an enticing option.

Teams will likely be more aggressive and attacking and sit further up the pitch so knocking balls over to him into space to sprint I could be effective.

If then Jota and Abada then stay forward to help offer support so he's not isolated in those events it could make for a lethal counter.

That would mean we'd have to also get that all important CDM in though.

Obviously as well in those type of scenarios in European games I'd imagine we'd see Giakoumakis probably be the main starter and rightly so in those type of games

I thought he looked just as good on the right. Not as much of a noticeable drop off in performance/ impact when playing on the right compared to when Jota starts on the right.
Only one game though but I'd be happy for Maeda to play on the right and Jota on the left.
