Looked good today. Should have scored that other chance one-on-one with the keeper though. But his closing down is so valuable. He's gonna cause a lot of teams problems harassing defenders this season, even in Europe I think.

Pressing and tracking back = elite.
    Attitude = elite.
Finishing = like me at the fives.

Love the guy and will never have a bad word to say about him, even though he does frustrate at times.

What he brings to the team with his closing down and tracking back outweighs the inconsistent finishing for me. Another thing I like is he doesn’t let a miss affect him and gets himself back in there to try again.

Backing him to get 15+ goals comfortably.

I like the guy. He's not clinical by any means but he brings so much to the team with his pressing and workrate.

Definitely adds a different dimension to the team. Better on the left though

Best goal he's scored so far in a Celtic Jersey. The line he held then the run was top shelf stuff.

Celtic's in good hands with Maeda up front. The guy is superb. His work ethic is the best I've ever seen in a Celtic Jersey in 30 years.

He never stops. Just like Ange.

Kyogo Giako, Maeda. We have 3 superb attackers that will win us the day. I love this Celtic team more than Rodgers Invinciblem

His pace constantly catches opposition players out, particularly when he’s closing them down.

I can see him being a surprise talisman in Europe, similar to how Samaras was.

    This guy is so likable.
Leaves everything out there for the jersey.
Looks like his best position is wide left.
Missed one, scored one, take that all day long

Love him, even if he does finish like me after a bad curry.

I really like him. Think he's qaulity. That finish was sublime. More of them and his confidence will flow.

I like him a lot as well, but I'm not sure where he fits in to the pecking order at the moment. For me Jota and Abada would be first choice wingers, and Kyogo and GG first and second choice strikers, but Maeda sets the tempo for our high press so is really important to the team making it hard to leave him out. It's a tricky one.

Horses for courses mate. Maeda will start in the CL, I'm sure of it. With Jota on the right, and Abada replacing him at some point.

He's a world class pain in the * but honestly I really don't know what his best position is.

He's not ahead of Jota on the left and I would have Giakoumakis and Kyogo ahead of him up top

He 100% starts for me. I love Abada and there will be games when he plays, but I think Maeda is one of these players who we'll come to see as almost irreplaceable in the future.

Love the guy. To me, he's like Griffith but with a genuinely great and positive attitude and fitness and stamina of a racehorse. Don't think we'll ever look on him as being a Larsson type legend, or that he'll smash in 20-25 goals per season for us, but he may stick with us for ages and given he's only 24 he may turn out to be a legend for us in his own way.

I put a lot of stock in his attitude. Seen plenty of players give it all for the Hoops and outshine far more expensive/highly rated compatriots

That's it though. He shouldn't be a starter in my opinion unless Jota, Kyogo or Giakoumakis are injured or need a rest, which is fine. Would start him over Forrest on the right as well if abada wasn't playing.

I’m a big fan. He has some flaws but I think he’s shown how valuable he is to us.

    In essence... :56:

But, i meant in the things we liked about Griffith - he was a pest, always in about the opponent defense - Maeda does this back in our defense too, causing disruption even when he wasn't the one scoring. He wasn't clinical enough for me, but still shored in with a good amount. His downfall was he wanted to get by on minimum work and never appeared to take it seriously. That was great for him messing with the Huns, but poor for fitness and squeezing out extra when the chips were down, ultimately until he screwed the pooch completely
