Like his attitude, leaves it all out there, never stops, must be a nightmare to play against.

Imagine our high press with both Maeda and Kyogo in the lineup...

Psychologically, it must be torture as well knowing that if you miss control it or don't get rid ASAP, then this boy is going to harrass you.

Think a good few people are missing the points that he's only been with us about 3 months, he's run in essentially straight of the back of a full season already, he'd arrived with the 'kyogo effect' level expectations and that he'd dropped into a team - as did GG, where the entire team had just bedded into how Kyogo plays, and everyone had to learn to readjust accordingly.

Personally, I think his attitude and effort are stellar and that's worth a lot...

Still stand by my statement that the level of quality I think Kyogo, Giakoumakis and Maeda offer as forwards is right up there with the some of the best we've had in terms of strength in depth.

Benchmark in quality is Larsson, Hartson and Sutton for me. They’re the best since them.

Closest would be Hooper, Stokes and Samaras I think.

THE phenomenal success of Kyogo since arriving at Celtic has posed something of a problem for anyone else attempting to fill his boots, whether that has been Giorgos Giakoumakis or Daizen Maeda.

While the injury to the striker has opened up opportunities for both of those players to start games, his brilliant goalscoring form prior to his latest lay-off has also set the standard by which other forwards have been judged.

For Greg Taylor, comparisons between Kyogo and Maeda in particular have been unfair, with the full-back arguing that both players have their own distinct styles.

Maeda, he says, may not yet be fully appreciated in a wider sense, but he certainly is inside Lennoxtown for the work he does both off the ball and on it, with his boundless energy a huge asset for Celtic.

“Kyogo set the bar really high with the way he started,” Taylor said. “He has been unbelievable and we can’t wait to have him back.

“But I think Daizen has done really well for us. A lot of his work goes unnoticed. The way he presses and creates chances out of nothing is a midfielder and defender’s dream.

“He works so hard for the team. Believe me, he’s very appreciated. All of us in the building are all grateful to have him.

Daizen has already played a full season and his work rate is unbelievable. All of the lads work their socks off to be fair but Daizen is just a cut above the rest. It’s second to none.”

On paper but Eddy was a youngster just getting upto speed that season, Dembele was injured for parts and Griffiths was a fat loser

I'm still gutted we didn't see Dembele and Edouard together properly. That would've been absolutely frightening.

I can't wait till Kyogo's back man. Miss the * soo much, feels like he's been gone for the entire season

Aye, seen a wee bit in pre-season and what could have been the 3-2 against the Scum and that was us down to 10 men. It would have been unreal, too much pace and power.

Him and GG are both similar in that they're technically a bit lacking but make up for it with amazing physical attributes. Maeda has loads of scope for improvement and I'm sure he will. Like I've always said, he'll never be an amazing player but will do a good job for us.
