Callum Davidson made an exceptional point after the game about how he plays up front and how exhausting he must be to play against in a way that’s overlooked, and not what’s usually pointed out with him never giving any time and his workrate.

It’s the way he takes the ball in on a pass, and I’ve never noticed this at all but it’s spot on, he never ever takes the ball standing still or taking his time to put his foot on the ball. He always takes the ball with movement, he’s always taking it on taking it to his left or right, sometimes deep, or runs by him to run on to. It’s always with the view of where he wants the ball to be next. And that’s very unusual a way to be a focal point up front.

For all his work rate and just how breathlessly hard working an athlete he is, and how watching that it’s hard not to just think * * just how is that possible, and I think this is what he’s introduced this season more than anything is just how much he knows how to wield that as a weapon. It isn’t just working hard, it’s purposeful. He knows he’s almost peerless at being able to outwork, outpace and his ability to constantly keep that up. And he what he does is use that so well. Make players he’s up against think * sake he’s not just on me off the ball like the * terminator. He just doesn’t stop, he doesn’t give a break and makes sure they aren’t just getting physically tired, what he’s doing even more is * mentally exhausting.

16 in 30 in the league
4 in 9 in the CL
7 in 4 in the Scottish Cup
6 in 3 in the league cup

33 all in. Went through game by game there, where he’s credited goals and can’t spot a mistake. And I’m sure Sky had him at 31 his Killie goal, 2 today makes 33.

33 goals with 6 games left.

Fancy him to comfortably get over 40 this season.

Don’t think anyone has made the Scottish game look as easy since VVD. Every week now it’s just a given he’ll score

He has become my favourite Celtic player since The King of Kings. There was talk of Kyogo being the best since Larsson but now Daizen should be in that discussion. If he sticks around another couple of years and continues to score as frequently, there will be no question about it.

Hope your right although it will be tough 7 goals in 6 games especially if we rest him towards the end of the league with the cup final in mind but with the form he is in right now it would not surprise me at all if he got to 40 for the season. Truly remarkable when you think regardless of what his final tally is for the season that he has spent most of the season on the wing not through the middle.

Hope he gets to 40. Would be a brilliant achievement.

This goal (his second at Hampden) will never be a worldy, but the calmness, the simplicity, the split second to pause and think and then just stroke the ball into the net - this is the difference in Maeda, his footballing brain has got up to speed with his wiz-kid footballing feet, and that assuredness is just magical.
