Daizen Maeda

They've allmhad a fair break guys.

Their season finished 2-3 weeks before they moved here, then and near enough 3 weeks off due to our winter break.

They've had the better part of 6 weeks off, so there is no real tiredness to them.

As with maeda, he started well, but seems he is still finding his way within the squad, which is expected.

Kyogo is always going to be first choice ahead of him though. Give it time for maeda to settle and he will be playing rotation with Kyogo.

Should have had 2 at least today.

but kept running and got an assist.

 

He's more of an impact sub for me imo, not a bad player but not currently a starter.

 

He's similar to Abada. Not amazing technically but will score and assist alot of goals for us

 

He was ok, still think he is better suited coming of the bench in the last 20 than he is starting.

 

I think hes miles off it tbh, never a winger in a million years, yet to see this “pressing monster” i seen him labelled.

Unsure if its confidence, fatigue, adjusting, could be all of it.

 

He looks very poor technically, does a power of work but fk me some of the basics he cant do.

Glad hes only. On loan, will need to dramatically improve.

Doesnt look good enougg inside the box.

Technically isn't doing enough in the build ups (I know he was involved in the second but still)..

 

I slated him midweek but I'm going to give him time. He may be struggling to adjust to the league and all. Showed enough on his debut to suggest he'll be a good player.

 

He's not only on loan. We have an obligation to buy. The transfer will go ahead

 

His performance was pretty similar to all the others minus a goal (should have had at least 2). Not great technically but he’ll score plenty because he takes up some great positions.

 

Thought the conditions kinda went against him today tbf. Technically lacking but confident he will score lots for us.

 

Would do better centrally, alongside GG. Still, he chipped in with an assist.

 

He’s a bit of a weird player eh

 

I actually think he looks quite nice technically, plays a lot of first time lay offs, runs with a ball pretty well, the cross for the second on his left, he also put 2 or 3 other good crosses in with his left.

For a pace merchant of his speed his control and final ball are really good. His runs off the ball are nice as well, doesn't always get the pass but is always on the move half the time at full speed, thought him and Hatate linked quite well.

Gets in the box to attack balls as well similar to Abada.

Im a fan of him.

 

I like him too, he's just settling in..

 

if only he was two inches taller, he might got on teh end of some of those cross balls today if he was.

 

Works like * man but I just can’t take to him. Early days I know but just looks a bit * if I’m honest.

 

Jury is obviously still out on him. 4 goals is not a bad return, but i cannot rid this feeling that he has absolutely no football brain. His tactical awareness seems very limited most of the times. But then again he finds himself in a good position suddenly. Luck from his side or am I wrong about his tactical awareness?
