My final entry, feeling inspired after his performances of late

I don't think you know, how much, he means to the Celtic, Daizen, our number 38...

 

I really thought under Ange his work rate and commitment simply was enough to me to see him as an essential player. I genuinely thought the man wasn't a footballer and most his goals were just flukes that hit off him. But still seen him as vital.

Now under Brendan still has that but added so much more to his game. He's sensational, scoring allsorts of goals and providing assists aswell ad unrivaled pressing and recovery.

Unbelievable player.

 

He's just....from a different planet, really
Show me another football star even remotly similar to him
Love him and I hope he's here to stay till the end of his career and that his family settles in Glasgow incredibly hapilly forever

 

Think the main difference between now and when he first joined, other than him just naturally progressing as he gets older obviously, the way he was playing under Ange he always wanted it to be a relentless 100mph from everyone, Maeda's obviously still a machine going at it harder than anyone, but think now under Rodgers he's taking an extra half second to slow down a bit, compose himself and just not rushing his end ball as much, it's a really small tweak to his play that makes a massive difference.

 

The goals Maeda is scoring just now reminds me of the ones you saw in his highlights video when leading the line for Yokohama Marinos. There were loads of headers and runs round the back of his man type goals like his first last night. There was even an audacious lob in the highlight reel from a similar scenario to last night, just the keeper was further of his line in that one.

He is absolutely flying just now and must be targeting getting to 25 goals for the season at least given he has 18 just now with at least 14 games to go, hopefully 3 more in the Scottish Cup.

 

And people don't think he can play as a striker

 

Give him a new deal, whatever he wants

 

Apparently we’ve been trying to get him tied down for months, but just can’t * catch him.

 

Give him all of whatever Kyogo's wage was, this man deserves it.

 

He’s developed an unbelievable amount under Rodgers … technically he’s got so much better in such a short space of time.


His numbers are ridiculous this season.
