Tbf he was our most promising attacking player, most of our attacks came down his side.

Was shocking for that 5th goal though, no getting away from it. Suicide football.

The one and only player who looked dangerous in the first half and folk are still trying to single him out.

    Unbelievable.

He was getting pass marks up until his assist in the first half then continued that theme in to the 2nd half

Cost us two goals tonight, albeit they were great finishes.

Him * out of a simple tackle at 2-1 * killed us.

Not that I think we'd have won, but that tackle at 2-1 changes the game.

He wins that, we go on the counter and who knows, such a simple tackle.

That tackle changes nothing. They * battered us and it wasn’t changing.

No one, but that doesn’t invalidate what I said.

It’s just pointless singling players out.

Go back and read what I said - “by his high standards”. In other words, I didn’t expect that level of performance from a guy like him. His defensive mistakes were simply dreadful.

At fault for 1 (or arguably 2) goals; but scored 1, almost had an assist and caused them problems all night. Who else on our team actually caused them problems?

Love him to bits but cost us 2 goals, that time in the RB position, he was favorite to win the ball but just seemed to pause.

My recollection was him still pressing at 90+ mins... He encountered players as fast as him for the first time, and he did everything he could, but they were excellent, and well drilled on dealing with him...

Personally, not gonna pound him for a few errors while defending, even though they were costly... He definitely wasn't a guy who deserves a pint stuck in his performance over the rest of the team

Long term Maeda cannot be the technical standard we are aspiring to.
Yes, presses unbelievably well, but * on the ball, passing, crossing and composure is of the chart terrible.
Effort cannot be the primary requirement to be a success in our team, you have to have more.

I still have hope Brendan can sort some of the technical gaps.
I see some improvement this season also, but for me, he's simply not good enough longer term.
That's along with Taylor and several others, so not singling him out.

For me he was the only player anywhere close to pass marks and even then he had a couple of awful moments.

I thought him and Scales were the only 2 close to pass marks.. even tho Maeda cost us a goal and Scales was turned inside out for the 6th.. :56:
