Daizen Maeda

Maeda will be just fine here. Every player gas games like he had last night. We've already had glimpses of what he can do.

 

Yep.a couple more games and he will be fine.HH

 

Literally no one has said he's a donkey, anywhere here.

The general synopsis, which I would fully agree with, is that he hasn't looked particularly good so far but it's early days.

Let's be honest, he was poor against alloa, he was pretty poor against Motherwell and he wasn't great again last night, so it's not after one * game.

However it is early doors and nobody can say he's going to be a flop, but by the same token nobody can claim he's definitely going to be a success either.

 

We've been spoilt by instance successes in guys like Hart, Hatate, Kyogo, Jota and O'Reily.

I've got no concerns about Maeda being a success here

 

he has speed and good work ethic.
i can recall during the mid part of the first half of the season abada seemed to be frutrating and lose his way.
new environment, change in lifestyle etc, he will come good and is a good addition.

 

Shown quite a few glimpses of what he can do so not particularly worried about him. Seems like he’s going to take a bit longer to settle in and come good compared to kyogo and hatate. Surprised by that though, thought he was built for playing here tbh

 

He was poor but I am surprised he started considering how physical we knew the game would be and how heavy that pitch was.

 

Love his workmate but as others have said looks like he will take longer to settle than others. Hope he comes good.

 

He still contributed some value in closing them down and played a role in the second goal. Wasn't a great game admittedly but I still think he has what it takes to be our second choice behind Kyogo, it's just a question of how much of a gap between the two there is.

 

Just watched his goals from last year again. He'll be fine.

He's already got a couple of goals...

Said it before patience is required when signing players from the other side of the World, can't expect them all to come in absolutely flying.. it just so happens they all have..

And they've only been in the door over a month. Just wait until they start to gel .

 

He’s still settling. International duty probably hasn’t helped given he only had 2 games with us before flying to the other side of the world.

Needs to find his feet, once he does I think he will be fine. Ange hasn’t let us down with any of his signings so far.

 

Giakoumakis only scores tidy goals, Maeda only scores untidy ones

 

Should've got the chance to take the penalty imo

 

I wanted Jota. Get him on 3 goals and an assist in 2 games going into Europe, just gives him that extra wee boost….

 

Needed a goal like that..

A header from a corner close in. Like one's like that. We don't score them enough..

 

his last 2 goals have been complete flukes, we need someone like that who can get those types of goals. so thats 3 goals in 5 appearances? or is it 6, not a bad start

 

To be fair, we were crying out last season for someone to score the “ugly” goals when we were trying to walk the ball into the net. It’s a great trait to have.
