He won't be missed in many games. The only problem is he'll be missed in our biggest game! Palma will probably be more effecting against the other teams that'll just defend. Hopefully he heals as fast as he runs and this isn't the start of his hamstrings deteriorating due to the way he trains, warms up and never stops. When speedy players start having problems it never seems to he a one off.

 

Plastic pitches aswell. Absolute nightmare for players. Should be banned outright. I don't care if your pitch is as * as Dundee's, you still shouldn't be allowed a plastic pitch

 

Like Taylor. For all people complain about him as soon as he's not playing it show we absolutely are a far poorer side without him.

 

Does not bode well

 

I can't quite pinpoint when it happened but some time in the past few months I think I fell in love with Daizen Maeda. He is my everything, and when he leaves Celtic I'm going to become an alcoholic

 

I bet he is a top class dad, love the guy

 

Out for the season by look of it, * terrible luck. Although... he could prolly still have Tavpen on toast with 2 knackered hamstrings.

 

Losing him for the hun game is a sickener.

 

Awful news as it looks like our fears are confirmed and he's out for the rest of the season.

He absolutely has Tavernier in his pocket and that's their only real threat. If Tavernier gets an injury, which he's probably due one tbh, they're *. They'll point to that they scored three goals against us but one was a Tavernier special, a deflection and admittedly a good goal but one that was totally avoidable in the build up.

We need whoever is taking his place, to play the defensive side of their game very well in the Hun game.

 

Bad news..

 

Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Daizen Maeda's season is all but over.

The Japanese star - who opened the scoring in last week's six-goal thriller at Ibrox - has suffered a hamstring injury. And Rodgers admits it's unlikely the attacker will play again for Celtic before the end of the campaign.


Speaking after yesterday's 3-0 win over St Mirren, Rodgers said: "Unfortunately, I'm not sure we'll see Daizen again this season, I don't expect him to feature too much. It's such a small window for him now.

 

Will be massively missed against that Mob

 

If Ross County can keep tavpen quiet I'm sure we have our own player who can run him ragged

 

This is a real sickener. Experienced, doesn’t let the pressure get to him and is the stuff of nightmares for TavPen. Huge blow, still not fully appreciated by some Celtic fans who don’t see the full picture of what Daizen’s game is all about. James Forrest now needs to be utilised, he has been very good in the short spells he’s had so far this season. Would be fitting if a guy who has won an astonishing eleven league Titles helps us over the finish line.

 

Honestly think he's my favourite player in the current team. I said elsewhere it's between him, CCV and Hatate; but CCV has missed half the season and Hatate nearly all of it. So he's my favourite player this season by some distance.

 

Bernardo has to start v them for me.

He’s the only player capable of pressing even close to how Daizen does.
