In Rodgers style you are better off with Maeda through the middle rather than Kyogo, not that that will happen.

Maeda is quite comfortably our worst technical player so at least keep him stretching the game instead of involving him in build up.

I appreciate what he brings but he’s a good example of being an athlete over a footballer these days.

Rodgers style is the exact opposite :giggle1:

We need a player who's capable of coming a bit deeper with a good touch and linking the play. Kyogo is way more adept at that than Maeda.

Tbh he isn't anymore creative than Palma. As frustrating as the latter is. He also brings the same issue Abada and Kyogo do in that they can't dribble with the ball.

Would probably have been good in that game yesterday mind with some of the space but I still maintain his style only suits a minimal amount of our games per season.

Our attacking options are frustrating atm.

Players turn into superstars when they are not here eh.

Maeda is * honking and won’t make any difference. Hope he’s nowhere near starting the game midweek.

Him and Khun attacking the by-line and firing in low and early to kyogo attacking the front post... kyogo at his best doesn't want time he wants to hit 1st time.

I must be thinking of a different maeda, because the one we have at the club doesn't do low and early crosses to kyogo.

Off the top of my mead I remember him firing in early for Jota to score when barasic was sleeping at Celtic park but even if you don't agree there's more chance him doing it than Palma.

Glad he’s back in the mix, we miss his tempo setting. Would be starting before Abada 100% for me.

He frustrates the * out of me but I do like him.

Would go with him at left mid and Kuhn at right. Give it a go.

Maeda is more effective when we have less of the ball than normal, which is usually in Europe or at Ibrox, maybe even a home game against the huns.

Abada and Palma have been dog * the past few games.

    * knows, I just don't like what I'm seeing this season.

As much as I'm not a big fan it'll be great to have the option available again, been far too light on the wings numbers wise.

We all know he's not gifted technically but we definitely miss his energy as an option when he's not here, especially now if Taylor's out and Bernabei is just ????? to be kind, his pressing on the left can be vital at times.

Will be good to have Maeda and Palma both available on the left, and Abada and Khun both available on the right (touch wood). Even better when Yang gets back from the Asian Cup.
