A man down against a packed defence.

It’s been said a million times before but his lack of technical ability is horrendous.

His technical ability must be up there with the worst wingers in the league.

 

Sell and replace in January.

 

Exactly, it's been great to give him minutes in the lead up to the 30th, he'll be that wee bit sharper

 

I've always regarded him as a squad player.

Has his uses but against a packed defense very limited.

We knew this 18 months ago so today doesn't change anything.

 

I think the heads of the full team are down and have been off the boil for a bit but starting to come-round again

 

He is a really poor football player. All he has is pace which gives BR a selection issue for Saturday. By that I mean he does well against the Huns RB due to his work rate. I’d be tempted to play him on the left and move Palma to the right. Anyway back on topic, he is absolutely murder.

 

I wish we'd give him a run as a striker...

 

Hopefully we sell him in the summer, his style worked with the previous manager but he is like a fish out of water this season.

 

Was anyone crying out for him for domestic games against St Johnstone, or Motherwell etc?

Every single person who watches Celtic understands what he's brilliant at. Games against the huns, games in Europe where we're under the cosh...he's invaluable. We all know that.

However, those games make up about what, 20% of the season?

Almost every single game in the league we're up against packed defences who don't leave space for him. That essentially kills his game. His goal return of late tells you all you need to know. It's a shambles.

 

He's one of the most frustrating players in our team. He certainly has pace but only utilises that if he has the space to run into however, he struggles badly when we come up against who pack their defence like Dundee did today. His crossing and technical abilities are also open to question however, I would definitely start him against the huns next week as any ball played behind their defense will have them panicking like *.

 

If someone offered a couple of million we should punt. He’s awful but folk still live of him closing down Tavernier a couple of times.

 

Genuinely find him impossible to watch most of the time, his lack of footballing ability boils my blood. It's sunday league stuff. That shot on his left foot was like a wee boy learning to kick with his weak foot, his crosses going out the pitch 100 yards in the air, unable to control balls rolled into him, running balls out the pitch etc etc etc aaaaaaaaahhhhhh.

 

Said it before and will say it again.....

He's never a winger in a million years. His last 2 and a half games would of got mickey Johnston shot if it was him putting in those performances

 

I like Maeda in certain situations. But he gets cut too much slack. If Yang or Johnston had that kinda first half performance where he failed every time he tried to take his man on, they'd have been slaughtered by the fans and hooked by the manager. But at half time today I saw more people slaying Palma than Daizen. His attacking output isn’t good enough for his position.

 

He's terrible on the wing, his position is a striker.

 

Unless we're playing at Ibrox, or away in Europe, he's * useless.
