    Wa: the concept of harmony
Harmony translated into Japanese is wa (wa-h) . This concept of harmony was created around 600 BC within a hierarchical structured government. Each individual knew their place within society and did exactly what was expected of them.

The Japanese still implement this idea within their homes, their schools and their businesses. Even the way they address each other is framed from the level of importance that person is put within their hierarchical structure. It isn’t seen as oppressive or degrading. It is an understanding that in order for society to work harmoniously, everyone should do what they’re expected to do, address certain people a certain way to show loving care and respect towards others and vice versa.

The Japanese would say that this method is what keeps their society working together in what we would call a collectivist culture. In other words, taking the needs and wants of the group as a whole instead of in the form of individual’s needs.

    Mon the WA!

The fact you’re calling it a purple patch kinda says it all to be honest.

I'll add one more thing: Mon the Jeong! The Korean concept of oneness within a society, where selflessness and sharing are integral values. We'll be the nicest collective in Europe.

    Erm, no.

I’m just of the opinion that you need a bit more than a purple patch to be a first choice winger for Celtic.

Good thing he's had more than a purple patch then. :)

I know ill get grief but all of this with new contracts for players is screaming to me that we are not gonna as big as we thought in the transfer market but don't worry we tied up crucial players on longer contracts

    I’m not sure.

He was woefully out his depth in Europe. Noticeably nowhere the level required.

His physical attributes and his work rate get him through certain games, but in Europe when his opponents are every bit as physical as him, his technical limitations are even more evident.

We’re constantly told we’ve got aspirations to progress in Europe, and that won’t be happening with Maeda on the left wing. We can definitely do better.

Ah yes, giving Daizen Maeda a new contract means we won't sign any decent players.

Been a great player for us. Think he will thrive under Rodgers too. Delighted with the new contract

I think if he was guaranteed to be first choice, then there's definite cause for concern.

No chance he is though, we'll 100% bring in another LW to start over him, having a guy like Daizen as a sub is really good, and there is a chance Rodgers irons out the holes in his game.

    Nah.

They’re players we want to keep. If we start negotiations with McCarthy, Soro, Bernabei, Forrest etc then I’d be worried, but tying down Kyogo and Maeda can only be looked at as a good thing.

Still absolutely need to strengthen mind. We’re weaker right now than we were last season.

My comments come from being used to transfer windows with a lot of noise and next to * all done. We always then got the same line of but we invested heavily in retaining players at the club. Every year we got that so I think I've earned the right to be sceptical. I hope I'm wrong tho I really do
