I like him too much to be overly critical, but he needs to improve technically and it looks like it just won’t happen. He’s 25 now and looks like he may have peaked already.

He’s vital for us in Europe defensively as well, it’s a hard one.

Agree with all of this. He’s an integral part of our squad, but I’d like a more technically gifted winger domestically when we’re up against a low block.

If we could invest in the technology to just merge Maeda and Haksabanovic, we’d have some player :39::56:

With Ange leaving and a new manager more than likely to set up a new system I think Maeda won't play anywhere near as much next season as he did this year.

He's amazing at what he does in the system but is a limited footballer and if you take away the need for that non stop work rate and 200mph press then you also take away the need for him which is a shame and probably harsh.

Agreed. I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave in the summer.

He just needs tó work on his first touch. Apart from that he's a great player HH

I think his last touch is more of a problem.

He’s murder, not a football player. Yip he can run but so could Alan Wells.

He'd get crucified for his lack of end product down here. Filleted bad..

If he stays i agree with the opinions that he'll see much less game time next season..

    He is utter pish.

Aye, he's quick off the ball but slow as * on it and has about as minute a football brain the size of Abada's...

He's been an excellent signing for £1.5 million, but I agree with others, he won't get anywhere near as much gametime next year under a new manager.

Don't think he'll leave this summer, but I could see him leave during the January window, hopefully he proves me wrong, as he was excellent after the world cup and prior to his injury.

No way he's going to Spurs or any EPL club. I absolutely love the mad * but he couldn't trap a bag of cement and is wildly inconsistent (being generous) in the final third.

Not sure where this leaves him now though. He's literally a Postecoglou player, he may struggle in another setup.

Can understand why he lost his head in that game now. Obviously found out what was going on. He knows that'll be him back to Japan now with his lack of footballing ability.

Depends on the manager. Any manager favoring defensive work rate would give him a chance. Moyes, Clarke, maybe Glasner...

The amount of vitriol this guy is getting baffling. Post Postecoglu Stress Disorder?

Expecting Kyogo to get the treatment next.
