Unfortunately the majority of folk who buy and read this rag are not as intelligent as you or I and a good few other posters on this site. The rag in question knows this and instead of taking on the mantle of responsible reporting it panders to the page three and moron element in our society. Mugabe or Iraq is not front page but Big Brother or Eastenders is. The Big Jock Crew caption in their beloved rag will be seen as justification for the sickening campaign by Scotlands shameful bigots. Never underestimate the morons.

 

I cant agree with most of your post but,I do agree with the idea that if we feel that Mirror Group newspapers are being disrespectful to the memory of Jock Stein,just stop buying them.The best way to hurt them is not to give them your money.

 

also if you go to ipetitions.com you can sign a petition, please state that u r boycotting the mirror group its the only way well get any valid response!

I was on another forum when they decided to make the tshirt of the banner in the first thread got it in green I contacted the record sports editor asking why they were fueling this disgraceful vile campaign his answer he hung up says it all for me * to a man scum gutter press.

why buy the rag then? i think some people buy it knowing full well what its like so they have an excuse for a good rant. the only celtic fans with any excuse for buying it are ones outside scotland, it being the only widely available paper that gives scottish fitba a lot of coverage. however, in these days of the internet there is not so much excuse for even them.

 

That is exactly what i was thinking. At worst i think the editor was trying to be clever. For all we know the mader Rangers fans may be thinking its two fingers to their BJK brigade and they might be right. I have to put the reaction in this thread into the paranoid category.

Whats new? The record print some sly anti-celtic comment. Someone posts it, followed by "hun *, * at it again" bla bla.

Then seemingly everyone is still buying/taking a swatch at this rag. Take the issue further if your not happy otherwise don't touch the thing and you won't get upset, simple as.

Its exhausting reading people jumping all over thread after thread about how the world is out to get us, lets just concentrate on the football.
