Larsson didn't actually make enough appearances to get a Premier League Medal. He got a letter and a Certificate of sorts from Man Utd though.

Huns team between 1999-2003 would've done pretty well in the prem too I think

It would take time. First we would need to establish ourselves in that league then we could gradually improve the quality of the squad. Look at the goals we have conceded this season from crosses. Could you imagine visiting Bolton(Kevin Davies), Blackburn(Samba) and Stoke (Huth) attacking the ball against our CB's?

I think you only need to look at the quality in most EPL squads to understand that it would take years before we could even think of challenging for the top 4

Fair enough. I am just pointing out that perceptions of players are only so useful, sometimes they get tagged unfairly when theyre playing well.

I haven't actually said much in the way of comparison at all. I have been asking people why they think current Celtic is stronger than EPL sides occupying the mid-top half places in the table.

Special dispensation or something aye? Still got top scorer in the Uefa cup, European golden boot, was in the Euro 2004 team of the tournament, more than enough to prove that he was capable in the premier league.:celt_2:

the blackpool back 4 aren't exactly superb and look how well they're doing just now. If they win both their games in hand i'm sure they go 5th or 6th haha, and they're not any better than our team just now.

Aye he definitely got a medal but it was put down as a special dispensation or something. Alan smith got the exact same thing.

That's only this season so far. Ipswich done well one year and went down the next. We would need to prove ourselves by staying in the league for years before we could challenge for Europe every year. In fact I'm not sure that UEFA would allow us to play in the CL/Ueropa anyway

Just checked. Their games in hand are against Man Utd and Liverpool

I give them no chance against Man Utd, but Liverpool? Surely they've beaten them already?

Yeah we could go on a run. But to keep that form going every season we would have to improve the quality of the squad

i think we would do ok in the epl, don't forget the players would raise their game dramatically and I dont think we would lose many games at Parkhead, as many of them would be like a European nights! Also we would be able to strengthen alot in the January transfer window!
Theres no doubt in my mind that Celtic would become a top top epl team IF we were able to establish a decent run in the league.

It's a pretty accademic question though, cos if Celtic got the go-ahead to play in the EPL, the amount of money that would get pumped into the club would be ludicrous.

Current team 13-16. If we had a transfer window to buy players then top 10, as am 100% confident players would be rushing to join us if we were in the EPL.

We would probably get relegated or just stay up.
