Very true, he is one of the better passers in the team but I like Brown purely for his energy and physical approch!

I like Broony too but I'm starting to come to the conclusion that he gives the ball away too often to be a central midfielder. That's why I'd like to see him play on the right. He could provide cover to Hinkel who isn't the greatest defender, he could run with the ball more(something I think he's under-rated at) and his passing wouldn't be exposed as badly as it is when he plays in the middle.

    Played 20
    Won 14
    Lost 3

    70% win record

Decent record considering our inconsistent form this season

I'd like Crosas and N'Guemo in the middle with McGeady and Brown out wide

Pure physical energy isn't anywhere near enough to be a successful footballer, nevermind first team starter at Celtic.

Crosas & N'Guemo without a shadow of doubt. If Brown is playing, it should be on the right.

Exactly. It seems to be an obsession in this country that the players in the middle of the park are overly physical. I can't imagine an Italian or Spanish fan talking about 'dig' or anything like that.

Case in point the game against the Huns where we played Crosas and N'Guemo up against their hatchet men, and we played them off the park. Skill and technical ability are more important than physicality. This is a problem in the Scottish game from the grass roots up to the very top.

Totally different styles of football though. Players with dig etc tend to do well in Scotland/Britain.

That was one game. If you look over the period of the season.....

Voted for crosas & N'Guemo, but if Brown could be more of the box to box player I'd ahve him and Crosas. I just think crosas is one of our most technically gifted players and will only get better and to say he can't be physical I htink that is pish. If he toughened up jsut a bit he would be a better player plus he has given it out a few times as well, was so proud when he clattered a hun in midfield in the new year game.

Look at the games we've had Brown and N'Guemo in the midfield and compare them with the games with Crosas and N'Guemo, I guarantee the better performances AND results come with the latter.

The reason these players seem to do better here is because as I mentioned from grass roots up the British try to instil these overly physical attributes instead of focussing on passing and technique. When we come up against good technical teams at club or international level we are completely outclassed. The only way to fix this is to change the way we learn and play the game from the ground up. Look at Barcelona for example, they committed among the least fouls in Europe last year but had the highest tackle success percentage and amongst the best possession (cant remember where I read this). This is because they close down players properly and intercept cleverly, using their brain rather than just diving in. I realise that there is a gulf in the players available to us and Barcelona but the same basic principle applies.

Crosas and Nguemo, am just glad people are starting to see their can be room for a technical midfielder in our midfield. Crosas has really good potential to improve on teh abilty he has just now

I would go with Brown and NGuemo. The reasons are Brown has more fighting power and mouth for the squad thats why he is captain, he suits the game perfect. Crosas on the other hand is a brillent wee player, best passer in the league but he aint strong and suitable for the league. To much bullying for Crosas.

Considering its been Crosas and Nguemo for pretty much the whole season i think thats an unfair evaluation.
Crosas has got a good nut on him and i can see him becomming a really great player. Sadly i dont think it will be at Parkhead.
Get crosas and nguemo as a central pairing and broony RM, most of his best performances for scotland have been in this position!

Hard to pick, tbh i'd try and play all three, maybe move Brown out wide or something.
