    Welcome Cristian. Looking forward to seeing this guy. Seasoned international, only 26, speed merchant and good technically. If the reported fee of between 400k and 1m is right it's a steal. Plus the guy looks delighted to be here, which is always good to see.

    Comes across that way from the out..

    Looks physically fit, and i can't see much of a culture problem playing at some of our ground's in the winter, given he's played in Denmark, Norway and for West Broms reserves..

    Given he's been out the picture so long, coming here, to the biggest club of his career on the back of it.....to come and be our number 1 right back, in the champion's league..... He must rightfully think he's won a watch. That can only bode well for us:50:

    Costa Rica have TWO games scheduled - Haiti on Sept 2nd (Friday) then Panama on Sept 6th.
    If he flies back on the 7th, that actually can only get him back into Glasgow on the 8th.
    So only one day day of training with the team potentially ahead of the game on Saturday and also really close for the CL game on Tuesday!

    Maybe enough for an appearance off the bench on Saturday, particularly is we are already well ahead (as expected!) by 60-70 mins! :D

    With all the talk about his height, or lack thereof, I was expecting him to be a 5 foot midget.
    Just checked and he's 5 ft 9", not that small. If he has the aggression and a bit of strength in the tackle this shouldn't be a problem.

    Looking forward to see him bombing down the wings for us.

    5'9 is average for a fullback. He's 2 inches taller than Lahm & Alves - probably the 2 best right-backs of the last decade.

    I vaguely remember him at the World Cup but had no idea he was even at West Brom, can see how a positive energetic player could be frozen out under Tony Pulis' 19th Century methods. Some media outlets called him the best RB in Brazil, there's a chance we've got a gem of a player here.
