His recovery pace highlights how poor he us positionally for me. He can get back and across to good effect though..

His use of the ball isn't good enough either in my opinion. Cause he's a wee explosive * and his midget legs are nipping 40 mile and hour, he seems to make passes that have too much on it and same for crosses and shots..

He could easily get by in a lot of our domestic game's no doubt but we need much better..

I think tonight would have been good for his confidence.

Although he is fairly limited on the ball, he got up and down the line well and showed good desire to track back. He showed good heart. Made up a lot of ground on Bendtner(?) at the end just as the ref blew for offside and got a pat on the back from Gordon for his effort.

Considering he has just been reintroduced in such an important game I think he deserves a lot of credit. Interesting to see who plays next week, although id imagine Lustig.

    That's fair enough..

Lustig will be back. Boyata as well and I imagine Jozo will be parking up on the bench..

Bodes well for next week and beyond keeping this winning momentum going and right up to speed with quality to come back in..

He over hit one or two passes tonight but made a couple of intelligent short passes and overlapping runs which you wouldn't see lustig or ralston doing. He gives us another option going forward too. In any other match I've seem him play though he uses the ball really well and actually seems to have an eye for a pass. His first game in a while aswell and I think he done really well

Its the first time iv looked at him and thought that he looked like a part of the team. Brown and forrest supported him well second half

I do think he lacks positional dicipline as at times he plays too high up the pitch. Rosenborg used the diagonal down his side as an outball on a few occaisions. But all in all he did well and he got away with it.

Likeable guy, gives his all but we could do better assuming we are looking for another RB.

But if that's not on the cards, no reason to freeze him out again this season (assuming he doesn't leave).

Good player to have around the squad.

Had an ok game but we should still be looking for another RB.

the same guys who are criticising gamboa are the same guys who think Lustig had a solid season last year :56:

"Still lacks the technical ability to be a Rodgers full back or wing back though IMO"

and what technical ability is that? Rodgers played johnson/flannagan/clyne and moreno as full backs at liverpool, hardly screams technical ability apart from clyne. Now at celtic we have Tierney who is fantastic at most things apart from his crossing and his over lapping doesn't come as natural to him as other full backs. Lustig on the right has been very limited in the past 2 seasons and he is basically there only to defend, and even that doesn't cut when he doesn't have the pace in europe and has to fake an injury so he's not being exposed.

No doubt though we will sell him before the champions league group stages start and we end up playing Hendry at RB:43:

Thought he was decent last night, better than what I expected tbh. Hope he stays in the team ahead of Lustig.
Lustig’s legs are gone, he’s too slow and knows this so offers * all going forward, and when he does creep up the pitch, hes getting beat for pace every time.

You have a go at others for talking bad about Gamboa and then slate KT yourself for his crossing and overlapping :56::43:

Give him a chance to play a wing back in the 3-5-2 when Forrest needs a rest - I reckon that’ll be his best position.

When we are talking about full backs having a lot of technical ability Tierney can improve on those things no? After the game last night, how anyone can think it was bad performance or 'not good enough' when he's been thrown into the deep end again I'll never know.

Looked much more comfortable with Forrest in front of him, thought he had a a good game. Definitely far better than Ralston.

Hadn't been to a game where he was playing before. One of his runs back near the end of the game was the quickest thing I've ever seen :56:

Thought he did himself no harm last night. Let's see what Brendan does next.

The other team tried to break down his wing.. casually out sprints him, by and casually passes the ball back. I liked. Was a bit lost for the first goal but so was the full team for about 20 mins.
