That's the thing mate, it's all down to the manager. I remember Juan Mata winning player of the year at Chelsea one year only for Jose to come in the next season, bench him for the best part and then * him off to United. Nothing to do with Mata's ability (or lack of), everything to do with the managers playing style.

If he suits us, great. If he doesn't, he'll be second behind a much improved Lustig, which isn't all that bad either.

 

id consider loaning Janko out somewhere he will play games week in week out and gain valuable experience because deep down there is a player in there somewhere he just needs to learn to use his pace to good effect and beat a man

I'm happy with this. Brendan hasn't let us down yet and I've no reason to think he'll start with this guy.

Yet he got in the FIFA TOTW last season.

 

At the 2014 World Cup he made 4.6 tackles a game, 2nd most for a full-back behind Ricardo Rodriguez who averaged 5. He was also caught offside 7 times in 5 games despite being a right-back.

 

Not too worried about his lack of game time he looks like one of those naturally fit players, hopefully coming here brings out the best in him, we should suit his style well.

Janko has one shocking game (I'm not saying he's been particularly good before that) against Hapoel and Rodgers immediately signs his 'replacement'. Ruthless. I love it.

I've no doubt based on how meticulous Rodgers is meant to be he would also have watched the Malmo game from last season. Another where Janko was abysmal.

I really thought there was a player there but definitely not upto scratch at this moment in time.
