That was kind of bizarre with the protestors, lol. The security, stewards and even players were warned in advance to be aware something like that might happen, but for Warner and Stokes to confront one of them and Bairstow phyiscally carrying another one off. Lucky didn't do an injury, a la what happened to Terry Alderman...

All through the build up it's been all England big-talking themselves up, how they should've won, were the better side and were going to win this test at Lords by 150 runs etc, they would've been better to keep their mouths shut and saved it for the game... (not too dis-similiar with the way Sevconians carry on, huh? :56:).

As for the cricket itself and taking into account the perfect bowling conditions England had and chose to bowl first, those bowlers should've done far better, had more of an effect and made much more of a dent. To take just 3 between them and letting Australia get to close on 5/339, with Smith eyeing up another ton and potentially looking at 500.

Just catching the highlights from earlier. Travis Head man. What a knock. Australia are in a commanding position.

The ball swung massively at times taz, but it wasn’t pitched in the right areas tbh from England. Today was a case of you get what you deserve, Aussies played patiently when they had to, and got the upper hand. Can’t say I’ve seen any write up at all that England we’re talking themselves up before this test mate.

No honestly never seen none of that, think Crawley with his record should maybe engage his brain next time he’s asked a question, not exactly legendary ashes status is he. I see what you mean now by the hun analogy, maybe a few good knocks playing under bazball has turned him into Cuntwell. Not cricket old chap :50:.

That's just one, there are others as well, but that one was the line that caught most attention.

Think England must've gotten a bit of a rocket overnight. Bowled wih much more intent this morning to finish off Austrlia in this first session. Although still ideal bowling conditions and the Aussie bowlers will be keen to have a bowl on that track compared with the road that Edgebaston was.

What a change in tactic this has been from the Aussies.

Another game which will be decided by what happens up to tomorrow’s dinner time. If England can get near to 400 by then, the forecast is for cloud coming in about 1. Can’t bowl as inconsistent as the first innings if they want to win from then on tbh.

Day 3... in the Taylor/Waugh/Ponting era, that was always referred to as 'Moving Day', and for that very reason. NpHaven't checked the weather forecast, but it's the day to set up the endgame and tomorrow is shaping up as that here as well.

Australia losing Lyons could be massive if he isn't able to recover though, especially if it is for the rest of the series could have a massive effect... Fingers crossed he will be ok, but it's a big concern, ngl.

Another outlet for hating England - Lyons being out is a blow - somehow I think (hope) they'll still * this today
