Aye, I took just as much, if not more pleasure from that 2 fisted reaction. Was good to see some emotion for the reason you've just said..

    Hopefully that's HIS turning point..

He's looked great domestically, but his European form has taken a massive dip this season. Still have every confidence in him that he'll find his form in the Champions League next season (or heaven forbid the Europa League).

CRAIG Gordon is celebrating his 33rd birthday today (Hogmanay). It’s a day of national celebration – not for his birthday, though! - and a traditional time to make resolutions for self-improvement for the year ahead.
Although he sets his goals at the start of the football season, the goalkeeper is confident he and his Celtic team-mates can head into 2016 with optimism.
“It’s not a great time for a birthday as everyone is having a party anyway so it can sometimes go un-noticed – which is not a bad thing in the football world!” Gordon told the official match programme for this Saturday's game against Partick Thistle.
“I share that birthday with Sir Alex Ferguson and Steve Bruce, who was my manager at Sunderland, and it was a bit strange when we wished one another happy birthday when we were at the same club. It’s a strange birthday to have with everything that goes on at that time but I don’t mind it.
“My objectives would probably be more about the football side of things so it would run from season to season rather than at the start of a new year.
“If we start the new year top of the league, and we have a League Cup semi-final and the start of the Scottish Cup to look forward to, then we can still think we are in a pretty good place and on course to achieve good things and have a successful season.”
Ronny Deila’s side are looking to start 2016 with a win, and go into the game on the back of an unexpected midweek break due to the game against Dundee at Dens Park being postponed.
“Now it’s time to really get the points on the board and go on the type run we are capable of,” the Hoops keeper said. “We’ve shown time and time again the qualities which can separate us from the pack. It’s up to us to show that again and go on a run to get points on the board, which would put pressure on the teams around us.”
Celtic’s first-footers of 2016 are Glasgow rivals Partick Thistle, and they certainly won’t prove a simple obstacle to negotiate given their impressive form in December which saw them climb the table to put them in the frame for a tilt at the top six.
“They haven’t lost many goals either,” said Gordon. “They have been very strong and when you go on a run like that it’s easier as it gives you of confidence and they will be looking to come here and get a result.
“They have clawed their way up from the bottom of the league with a good run and they will be aiming to keep that going by getting a result at Celtic Park. But we will be looking to put things right from the last home game, put on a good show and get the three points.”

More of the same please. His form needed to improve otherwise dropping him wouldn't have been out of the question.

Agreed. I think it's more about whats been going on in front of him then so much about any big dip in form from Gordon himself. Hopefully he can get the new year off to a good start with a clean sheet tomorrow.

Think he's not good enough, would rather see Bailly or Fasan get a go - if Deila doesn't rate them; get a new keeper.

Bailly strikes me as a disaster waiting to happen.

Gordon is plenty good enough. Just needs to get his confidence back and a defence that doesn't part like the red sea.

How have we seen enough of him to make that judgement? Guys only played 2 games with our first team, one of which was pre season. Did it with Zaluska and doing it now with Bailly. Zaluska wasnt the best but he shouldve gotten more games than just St Johnstone at the end of last season. If you dont play the #2 every now and then they will always come in cold when they are called upon.
