    The defence doesn't help when it comes to passing out from the back or Gordon coming for crosses etc.

    But things like their first goal are down to his ability. It was a shot he should have saved, nothing to do with the trust he has in his defenders.

    Craig Gordon is a fantastic goalkeeper, but there does seem to be a problem in some big games.

    I'm not sure what goes on in his head, but I'd be surprised if his performances are down to who is playing in front of him.

    His errors have been poor goalkeeping, plain and simple.

    Honestly, what a load of rubbish. He was at fault for the first goal but so were the rest of the defence. As for not being able to perform in big games... Inter last year aside he has been pretty good, no? (I've missed the first 2 Europa games this season). He was brilliant against Red Bull away.

    I'm usually * for these matches so my memory is hazy.

    Our problem last night was that we had a LB that can't defend, one CB who is a timebomb, another CB who has played 50 odd games in his pro career at 24 and a RB who is apparently never going to be fully fit again.

    Defending is a big problem but to get beat at front post on a tight angle that's poor positioning by the keeper. If the guy had went far post Efe was covering all Gordon had to do was come off his line a few more yards to cut the angle.

    But don't forget he was the main factor in us getting to Last 32 last season, then did have a shocker against Inter. The whole team is struggling with confidence.
