I’m actually pretty annoyed that celtic are continuing to negotiate with him...

3rd. Choice keeper is the easiest job in the country.... so 4K a week for doing farkall is a top deal.

£200 k a year for a bit of training and not even having to turn up at away games

Sounds like the St Mirren chance has gone...

Better call Chelsea if Neilsen isn’t interested.

I never even thought of the prospect of none of them working out :56:

For talking to Tanner he can get *, speaks far too much * in the press as it is. Sure he had a fantastic first 2 seasons up until the Inter game, but became obvious he shites himself with the ball at feet or trying to be sweeper keeper.

Happy to have Bain and one of the youngsters as the back up keepers to FF.

Really a farcical scenario, fairly insulting to him and our young goalies what's going on, let him free.

Could never understand why he was so poor at saving penalties, i would imagine GK's practice this in training all the time, a lot of the time he barely even moved, very odd.

I'd let him go, still think he's decent but I'd look for new blood.

Not keen on this talk about contracts though from him, Hayes too.

    Hes 37!!

Average age for a footballer retiring is 35. I get that keepers tend to play that little longer but the way things are going on at the moment its as if hes 28 and in his prime. Take what you get or retire at that age! An essence of arrogance about him that ive never liked!
Been great for us, vital part of the 10 but time to move on! We have the 10 to secure.

    Whit?!

He's a 37 year old 3rd string keeper who can't save penalties, can't save shots at his near post, can't pass and can't kick out.

If you or anyone else thinks he will do better than over 3k a week they need their head examined. He'll be lucky if Baron Greenback over at his beloved diets will give him half that ffs.

People love to point to his debut season here as a reason to lick his *. The points and games he's cost us in Europe are unforgivable, as is his attitude. Or point to him on his knees celebrating the treble... * was probably celebrating his bonus. He can * off to Edinburgh to suckle the black milk from Anne Budge's poisoned * 8f he wants.

18k a week toward big Fraser is entirely preferable to EVERYONE.

Don't know who he thinks he is, he certainly played his part over the years but he's turned into a bit of a bawbag....mind the door on the way out, Craig.

You could see this coming a mile off couldn't you, as soon as he didn't get what he wants off to the media moaning. The offer should be withdrawn.

In the first few seasons under Ronny baring the odd mistake he was a good keeper for us, the fact he cost nothing due to his fitness concerns, it worked out a good move for both club and player.

The mistake for me was the lack of poor succession planning on our part when Rodgers was here and Chelsea wanted to buy him that January. If it hadn't been that we had Dorus De Vries, who was totally hopeless as our only alternative we should have cashed in and used the money to invest in a new no.1. Given we were well out in front in the league, out of Europe and had just the Scottish Cup ultimately to play for I am sure that would have been possible.

Once the idea of him improving his distribution came in, he became very prone to bombscare moments, running out his box chopping folk down and that chip ball to the right back who was struggling to keep it in play and had no option but to let it go out or knock it down midway inside our own half and hope one of our team get it cost us so many big goals.

On top of that his attitude started coming through that nothing was his fault, despite some real slack play and howlers starting to creep in. It wasn't until FF came back that you really noticed how big a difference having a keeper capable of saving what sometimes seems the impossible makes and you realise what we had been missing.

Would be a kick in the stones to the young guys as they try for that 3rd choice slot, knowing this * is mincing around picking up money for old rope. Get him tae *

There is no getting away from the fact that Craig Gordon has been a vital cog in the wheel over the last number of years. However he's only had the opportunity because we took a chance on him when no one else would.

He isn't good enough to be our No.1 anymore and I don't trust him to act as No.2 without making a fuss about lack of game time.

Doohan and Hazard look great prospects. We should be coming out and taking that offer off the table for Gordon purely down to him talking it all through with the media. Yeah he’s been great for us since signing as a free...but now he and we need to move on. Trying to sign him up again and all this media attention behind it are taking the * out of doohan and hazards positions at the club.

    He is free.
    His contract is up.
Even by Gordon's own words we only "talked" about it a few weeks ago and since have not been anywhere near him again.

    He's using Celtic.

    He can * right off.

Absolutely spot on. If we are looking at trimming the squad and trying to cut some of the dead wood for me it would have been a much better idea to bin this * and promote 1 of the 2 young guys that have done well out on loan, instead of binning Hayes or Simunovic

Yeah I agree was just meaning that if we were gonna keep any of the 3 out of contract players he'd have been my 3rd choice particularly when there are 2 good young gks who could step up to 3rd choice. I think we've left ourselves shorter by letting the other 2 go than we would of letting him go. Although again I don't think any should of been kept
