Similar to Forster. Good shot stopper, but doesn't command the box, and distribution is shocking.

This has to be the guys last season for us. In my opinion he's been a good signing who can pull off the occasional wondersave but his time is done, can't help having that bombscare of a defence in front of him but he refuses to properly command his box and was at fault for the first goal today.

This guy isn’t really that good.

I think for most goalkeepers, they can easily get pass marks from folk by just achieving the bare minimum - by not making any prominent or visible mistakes.

The mark of a good goalkeeper is one that makes saves in instances where a goal seems likely. Craig Gordon doesn’t give us that whatsoever. He does not make big saves like the last two goalkeepers we have had.

And let’s not get started with the kicking...

In his defence he's far from our biggest problem

Ive done enough gordon bashing the past two seasons to appear on dr phil as @Notorious and others can account for.

    But why not....

Again.... for the millionth time... "shot stopper"patter merely deflects away from his other major deficiencies, doesnt come for the ball, when he does he flaps at it like a *, positioning is terrible, gets beat at his near post like no other keepee ive seen, bambi footwork and yes his distribution is * criminal. How many times have we seen him either lump a ball up to no one or the opposition and put preasurre on the midfield to win it back... when we had * posession, or scuff a lazy pass to a defender who is already being closed down, or flarp the ball across his own goal, or slice it out to players who didnt even know it was coming????

Its another massive blot on BRs record here that just like the defence hes utterly failed in bringing in ANY real alternatives.

Oh i will say this for him, he loves to make bog standard saves look utterly spectacular. Loves to throw himself up and whip his gangly legs up around to parry balls when he could quite simply just steady himself and knock it over the bar. And * no... its not technique... its wankery of the highest order that gives encouragement to opposition attackers.

The day he * off i will literally throw myself a little party with ballons and a cake and party poppers and *.

    Hes * woeful.

He doesn’t instill calmness and authority tho.. his short passing gives me the absolute fear or he lobs it straight out the park.

He is part of the problem no doubt..

at least with Forster you could rely on him in europe, Gordon in europe is a * show. GK spot was our main problem that fans were calling to improve two seasons ago and we brought in Bain/ de vries, our problems at RB and CB has taken the pressure of him for a while but as soon as he has to come and collect a basic cross he stuffs up. Always thought our goalkeeping staff was of a high standard but watching Gordon play makes me question this, the fact that he still hasn't improved his kicking is worrying.

Craig Gordon has accused his Celticteam-mates of having an "every man for themselves" attitude in the wake the disappointing display in the Europa League.

Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers was distressed by the loss of another avoidable goal in the 1-1 draw against Suduva on Thursday night after taking an early lead in the first leg of their Europa League play-off through French midfielder Olivier Ntcham.

The Northern Irishman had lamented the defending in the 2-1 defeat against AEK Athens in Greece last week which saw Celtic exit the Champions League in the third-qualifying round.

And his exasperation was compounded in the 13th minute in Lithuania when Ovidijus Verbickas ghosted into the box to head in a free-kick from Vaidas Slavickas.

Rodgers spoke of a lack of pride in Celtic's defending and while the Scottish champions are likely to finish off the tie in Glasgow next Thursday, Gordon stressed the importance of his side returning to the form of the last two seasons which saw them win unprecedented back-to-back domestic trebles.

"I think that everybody is every man for themselves in there," the goalkeeper said.

"We need to get back to working as a team and make sure that nobody gets the headers in that they have been

We have to put a stop to that, we will put a stop to that. I am very confident that we will get it right and get it right very quickly.

"We have been very good at that in recent seasons.

"We have been going on with 50 per cent clean sheets which is an incredible record.

"To go from that to losing goals the way we are - we need to put that right.

"But we have done it in the past. We know what we are doing wrong and we have to fix it.

We will sort it out and do it quickly and get back to keeping clean sheets which we have been doing in the past few seasons."

Despite the ongoing anxiety around Celtic's defending, Gordon is confident of reaching the group stages of the Europa league in front of their own fans next Thursday night.

Maybe if he commanded his box better and went through anyone near him I could respect his opinion more. and don't get me started on his distribution.

He really should keep his opinions to himself and concentrate on learning how to actually come and claim a cross/ball into the box before commenting on others.

Maybe if the defence had a keeper they could trust with the ball and that could command them it would stop the * goals we concede.

Whenever Bain has played we have played it out from the back so much easier. Gordon takes about a minute just to control the ball, take a touch and then wait for any player who is in space to be closed down before hoofing it away to *.
