On Morgan, St.Mirren would only do business with a club who would loan him back to help their bid for promotion.

We should respect that, first team football is what he needs too..

Three tremendous saves in the second half and huge errors in the first half.

Pretty much sums him up. He can have moments of brilliance and moments of stupidity.

We've already got Boyata back there for the heart attacks.

CB, RB and GK is where I'd spend our money.

I said a few weeks back that bar Forster Gordon is the best we've had in my lifetime. After that performance yesterday it's a close run thing.

    Two really good saves yesterday.

However, he’s an absolute bomb scare, who consistently puts an already shaky defence under so much pressure.

I genuinely think he’s had more clangers and heart attack inducing moments in Europe than the much maligned Efe Ambrose.

As a goal-keeper I think he instills zero confidence.

Brown reserved particular praise for Craig Gordon after the Scotland internationalist made a number of superb saves in the second period to deny the Ibrox side.

“Craigy is fantastic," he added. "There are a lot of people who doubt him but it shows what a class goalie yet again. He’s great with his feet and he makes great saves and that’s why we pay top dollar to have a top-quality keeper like that.”

Just to repeat what I said in the other thread, I really hope we aren't actually paying top dollar for him. He's An average keeper at best and a bombscare at worst

Aye that's true but I've seen Dundee and Aberdeen keepers make some top saves against us, doesn't make them a top quality goalkeeper.

I know Craig has his faults but he's saved us in games.

He's been regular scapegoat nowadays, given by comments guy is worse than Rab Douglas!

He's not De Gea, but he's the best Scottish GK. That maybe doesn't say much, but I rate him. He makes two wonder saves against those zombie mutants, people slag him for misplacing a pass. Ok, no problem, can we ask Xavi if he wants to be our GK, because his passing is out of this world?

Gordon made mistakes, but every GK made them. In my opinion he saved us more times than he actually lost matches for us because of his mistakes, and that should be respected.

What don't people understand about the kicking from Gordon. It is not the fans that are asking him to play this way, it is the manager & he clearly can't do it. Under Rodgers we play from the back & when teams push up against us it is up to the keeper to pick a man out to get us up the park.

Please * bring somebody in that can do what you require as a manager Brendan

He needs to go as soon as possible, this window is a must. If not we will be at the end of blunders and all sorts of embarrassing nonsense.

I’m dreading Zenit with him in goal. I can see another Inter situation happening where he cannot catch the ball.

People are missing the point when it comes to Gordon, nobody is disputing his ability as a reflex shot stopper, he's one of the best we've had.

But the fact is his decision making when looking for a pass is slow then inaccurate. This invites pressure, causes apprehension and leads to the other team having possession and ultimately provides more goal scoring opportunities.

The movement from the outfield players to make themselves available to receive a pass might need worked on too but Gordon's hesitation in his passing comes from a lack of confidence in his ability with the ball at his feet.

The hesitation is costly as it gives sides time to press us properly in any shape they want.

When you throw Boyata into the mix then it's no wonder teams have had joy with a high press against us. If such high standards are expected of Gordon then surely Boyata should be comfortable too?
When you look at Ajer at 19 he has the ability to step beyond a press and I'd expect Compper to be similar, Boyata will never have that in his game.

I'm not saying its all Gordon's fault, there is no doubt too many of our players have been off the boil this season, for whatever reason and there has been a lot less movement etc.. but going back to our GK should guarantee retaining possession and more often than not that's not the case with Gordon.

I expect an upgrade maybe this window but more likely in the summer. It is however, difficult to find and if we go younger we need to be patient and expect mistakes in all aspects of his game.

Goalkeepers shouldn’t be expected to save more penalties than they condede but * *, at least give it a go.
