Someone else has already appropriately replied to you in length, but I feel the need to have my say as well because I’m sick and tired of people thinking some players are untouchable in this team.

You can’t just laugh off his mistakes as brain farts or blame the defence. If I made as many brain farts in my work I’d be sacked.

Think of the amount of chances that teams actually get against as, compared to the amount of goals we concede or * ups he makes? He doesn’t have to make that many saves because as much as people don’t like them right now, our defenders do their job 90% of the time.

Craig Gordon is NOT the default fall guy, that’s Boyata. You say people have forgotten what Gordon has done for us, you could say that for any player. Boyata was loved in here. Craig Gordon is rightly criticised when it’s deserved. How are you trying to defend Gordon by saying some outfield performances are worse? That’s madness, a desperate attempt to defend him.

“To get the ball past CG, there usually has to have been a failure elsewhere on the pitch”. What kind of a statement is that? For a team to score against Gordon there must have been a failure to stop the attack elsewhere, so it’s not his fault? Is that not what a goalkeeper is for? The last line of defence? That’s a Michael Owen statement if I’ve ever heard one.

He’s his own worst enemy when he has too much time to think? Are you sure it’s not just the fact the opposition player has more time to place a shot past him? Don’t think it’s got anything to do with him and the time he has.

He’s not world class. If he was world class Chelsea would have been buying him to start for them, not sit on the bench. He’s made a handful (and a half) of real world class saves in his career.

How has it been so much of a big deal for him to change this apparent style? What was his style before btw? They are not asking much of him, all he has to do is play it short to the defenders. This actually suits him because he can’t kick it long, he’s the least accurate kicker I’ve seen in goals for Celtic and that’s a big statement.

Please please don’t compare him to Neuer. For a start Gordon isn’t a sweeper keeper. He’s far too hesitant to come for a ball and that puts pressure on the defenders, he’s put them in some really * situations where he could easily have came for the ball, they’ve expected him to, but they’ve had to deal with it themselves. Saw it yesterday when he almost didn’t come for an easy ball Lustig left for him.

What the * are the defenders meant to do if there’s no pass forward for them? That’s what Gordon is there for, it’s not putting him under pressure unless it’s a bad pass and that’s something we don’t actually see much. Our defenders actually * the bed often and punt it when there’s nothing simple on for them, they rarely put Gordon under pressure, he often puts the entire team under pressure by constantly giving the ball to the opposition when he kicks it out.

You’re talking so much * that you’ve caused this post to be all over the shop, I’m trying to get my head around some of the ridiculous things you’ve written down.

I also don't think Gordon is a scapegoat. Fully deserves the criticism coming his way.

He can't play the game the way BR wants it to be played. He's tried and has improved but is just nowhere near consistent enough.

It doesn't help having Boyata and Jozo in front of him either who neither can pass under pressure. We need to replace all three if we want to obtain the highest standard we can. Would maybe give Jozo to the summer to see how much he wants it. However it's clear Boyata and Gordon will never be able to pass the ball the way it's needed.

Reflex shot stopper he's excellent and can command his box but not consistently enough.

BR must see it and I'd expect a replacement if not Jan defo in the Summer..

At the end of my tether with this guy. Not of the required standard. He is capable of the odd spectacular save. That's not enough.

If he was a keeper for any other spfl team he would be leaking goals everywhere. As much as our defence needs improvement it he keeps majority of spfl danger at bay. Time and time again gordan comes up short.

We haven't always been blessed with great keepers. Boruc and forster perhaps spoiled us a bit but it doesn't change the fact we can do better than gordan

No need to read it. He ignored my reply in the game thread and he’s ignored that one because he’s full of *, and I’m normally one to respect opinions. But his are ludicrous.

CG: "We want to go in to the break with as big a gap as possible. We are still on track to achieve everything we wanted to achieve. We are in a good place and we are looking forward to the game."

CG: "They did quite well last time at Celtic Park. They came out, had a bit of a go and it was a difficult game for us. This is another one. Three clean sheets in a row off the back of our only defeat. We are feeling good about ourselves."

CG: "It’s a big game and everybody knows it’s a big game. We’re right up for it. We’ve performed well in the pressure games over the past few years and this is another one. The stadium is always packed and the atmosphere is always fantastic

CG on @KristofferAjer: "He has everything a top defender should have. He’s got decent pace, he’s good in the air and he’s strong. He started off in midfield so he’s comfortable on the ball. He definitely has everything to really progress at this club."

I think the big issue is the manner of the mistakes he makes for instance in life we make a mistake normally we learn from them right ? Well Gordon case he doesn't the last two seasons Ave seen the guy come flying off his line numerous occasions when their was no need and cost us goal or coming flying out his line and takes out the opposition it's like he has a problem . Rush of blood to the head or something ... he either doesn't trust the central defenders they either don't trust him or both and when either happens you leak poor daft goals

Tried defending him for long enough but I can’t do it anymore. Makes some good saves but nearly every time he gets the ball he gives it away and does stupid things like heading the ball in his box, coming flying out of his goal thinking he is the karate kid.

Forster was a worse kicker, but he was never asked to play the way Gordon is.

Gordon can make the odd excellent save, as he just as a few minutes ago from Tavernier. But he lets himself down with both decision making and seems to get beat at his near post in europe.
