Thought he should have came for the through ball then he wouldn't have had to make the double save.

Appears Jozo was of the same opinion in real time.

Gordn has been a absolue steal for celtic, but thereis no denying he is the weakest part of the team and will only get worse.

I took watching PSG's keeper to realise how poor he can really be at times.

Dont understand the grief we give Gordon. Showed again today what a great stopper he is. This is a player who has came through a career ending injury, worked himself to fitness again and under Rodgers has had to completely change the way he plays as a keeper now.

    And his save today? Brilliant.

Outstanding save, between that and arturs save against Hibs as the best I've ever saw a Celtic goalie make.

He's an excellent goalie, but like all have a mistake too, and because we don't lose many goals they are highlighted more.

Seen some of the goals in recent times of Courtois, Hart, cech who weed need to flog our entire team to buy?

Fk against Hamilton he was to blame no matter what he did, it doesn't help having defenders in front of him making mistakes galore in recent times i.e. Bitton, Boyata, Ralston and glory boy Tierney.

He's due critisicm at points, but seems some have it in for him no matter what.

I remember Efe, fair enough had a bit more mistakes than usual gave a corner away, and big VVD went in like a bull in a China shop and fkd up and we lost a goal. But Efe was to blame.

CG: “It’s the next game. We just need to keep winning matches and we feel as if we are playing fairly well as we go into this one."

CG: "Have done what we have set out to do so far this season in terms of qualifying for #UCL & maintaining our unbeaten domestic run

CG: "So we go into it, looking forward to it to try and get into the next round."

CG: "It’s the next game and that’s the one we focus on."

CG: "We are used to doing that from last season, playing European football and then coming back."

CG: " European games are always difficult, and they take a lot of effort, but we responded and put on a good show."

CG: "That shows the strength we have in the squad, and the capabilities and mentality to get straight back in there and do the business."

CG on his double save in Saturday's 4-0 win over Ross County: "It was a good save and one I’m pleased with. It was nice to contribute."

CG: "At that stage it was only 2-0 and within a minute we are 3-0 up and the game is over so it was a big moment for me."

CG: "You can perhaps do that at three or four nil and it doesn’t have a big consequence on the game."

CG: "But that one did and that’s what makes a good save special."

CRAIG Gordon admits his stunning double stop in Saturday’s resounding 4-0 home victory over Ross County gave him special satisfaction.

After the 34-year-old blocked Craig Curran’s low shot for the visitors early in the second half, it seemed certain that Davis Keillor-Dunn would convert the rebound, but Gordon sprang to his right and made an outstanding reflex save, prompting a standing ovation from the Paradise crowd.

Moments later, Brendan Rodgers side made it 3-0 to effectively kill off the contest when James Forrest buried a close-range shot. With 16 minutes left on the clock, the same player bagged his brace to round off the scoring as the Bhoys made it 55 matches unbeaten in domestic football.

And Gordon was pleased to have made a telling contribution at a crucial juncture in the match to help the Scottish treble-winners collect three points and extend their lead at the top of the table.

“They had a few half chances and even in the first half, they had one or two they could have got a goal from,” said the Scotland internationalist. “We always have to be switched on and making sure we're not giving those chances away. It was a good save, one I’m pleased with, and it was nice to contribute.

“At that stage it was only 2-0 but within a minute we are 3-0 up and the game is over, so it was a big moment for me. When something like that happens, you can perhaps do that at three or four nil and it doesn’t have as big a consequence on the game, but that one did and that’s what makes a good save special.”

The emphatic win over their Highlanders saw the Bhoys bounce back in style from their heavy UEFA Champions League loss to a classy Paris Saint-Germain. And Gordon believes it’s a sign of Celtic’s mental strength and resilience that they can achieve such high performance levels after the rigours European football.

“That’s what it is and what we have to do - make sure we're winning the games in the league to give us the opportunity to play at that level,” said the shot-stopper.

“We are used to doing that from last season, playing European football and then coming back. European games are always difficult and they take a lot of effort, but we responded and put in a good show. That shows the strength we have in the squad, our capabilities and mentality, to get straight back in there and do the business again."

Although Brendan Rodgers’ side have two massive matches looming on the horizon – Saturday’s Glasgow derby at Ibrox and next week’s UEFA Champions League clash away to Anderlecht – Gordon and his colleagues are only focused on Wednesday’s trip to Dundee in the League Cup quarter-finals.

“We just need to keep winning matches and we feel as if we are playing fairly well as we go into this one," said the keeper. "We have done what we have set out to do so far this season, in terms of qualifying for the Champions League and maintaining our unbeaten domestic run, so we go into it, looking forward to it to try and get into the next round. It’s the next game and that’s the one we focus on.

"This is always a big part of the season, and the League Cup final is before the turn of the year, so there are big games. We have to make sure we're having a good start, even though the European games, with the travelling and everything, can take a little bit out of the squad," he added.

"We have to make sure that, domestically, we are still winning games and progressing in all the competitions. We know it’s going to be busy but we have a big squad and a talented group, so we are confident going into the next phase of games, however many they may be over the next few weeks, to really go on and keep performing well.”

I'm not member no.1 of the Gordan fan club. I'm under no illusions as to his capabilities or lack thereof if you read his pages here.

He's a good keeper. He plays as Brendan asks otherwise he's be out. As he was.
But he gets hammered more than he deserves as far as I'm concerned. Maybe it's because I play between the sticks I've more sympathy for him. The amount of non keeper punditry generally leaves keepers open to more criticism than they usually deserve imo.

No one seems to be offering viable, affordable alternatives either.
Vorm is 34 (or 35) next month & free next summer I believe. A Jan bid for our champions lge last 16 match?

Costil on a free transfer this summer would have been an excellent option. Few years younger than Gordon.

Thought it was quite funny when a few times he was pressed he played the ball out brilliant and Sutton sat there in silence.

“It’s his [Sutton’s] opinion but he focuses rather a lot on the negatives, rather than anything positive,” said Gordon. “It’s more of a campaign.

“He had his mind made up [about me] very early on. He is trying to make everything fit his early statements. That’s his job as a pundit.

“My record against any other Celtic goalkeeper would stand up in terms of wins. The last time I lost a league game was against Aberdeen about a year and a half ago.

“I think he goes over the top at times and I know I’m
not the only one to perceive that. There are other guys in our squad who receive as much, if not more, criticism than me.

“I’m not sure it’s a personal thing, but it seems to be. I don’t agree with an awful lot of what he says but I suppose that’s the case for half the players in Scottish football. I’m not alone.”

Not sure if that's been posted but Gordon clearly not happy with Sutton.

Thought Sutton was quite petty keeping it going last night pre match.
He had his initial response which was fine then he went on to rip him a new * again, no need.

Best save I've ever seen was Boruc against Telfer against Man united or Forster vs Neymar
