Kind of off topic, but does anyone have a link to the highlights of the Wales game last night?

A loan would be best for Celtic. Wouldn't want to pay out a big transfer fee on a 31 year old, even if it is Craig Bellamy.

Thing is with big wages - if he pay him for arguments sake £3m in wages, we would probably get that money back if we win the league in Champions League money. We're not in any financial trouble and we've pretty much sold McGeady for a huge price plus Aiden and Boruc who are 2 high earners off the wage bill. I think we're more than capable of scoring a loan deal even if it means paying his full wages, it's a risk worth taking IMO.

Would be wonderfull, with mexican in team and Craig, i would be much more confident, now if we can add mcfadden, then we are starting to move in right direction, add sol bamba to mix, and kick some arses at the back...and i will be much happier!

Ok, so let's say the transfer in wages costs us £3 million for the year.

A Celtic shirt with Bellamy #7 costs what, £50?

So to make back the wages we'd have to sell 60'000 Bellamy shirts world wide.

There would be alot of other merchandise aswell, but he'd probally pay for himself in some respects.

Tbh if we get Craig in i dont think we'd need McFadden. We should concentrate wholly on GK and LB, cause in my opinion CB isn't priority unless we actually sell Loovens then by all means replace him.

I think we could put in a cheeky offer(say £5m) and make him our own player.

Man City don't seem to be worried about balancing the books they would probably be happy to get rid.

It all depends if Craig is happy to take a wage cut or not!:shamrock:

If he was to stay in the epl I don't think he'd go to Sunderland

Man City surely have a strong prerogative to keep such a good player out of their rivals hands? The teams that are interested are rivals for that 4th CL spot and the other UEFA cup places.

If they had half a brain they'd split the wages and send him up here :50:

could be the best b-day present ever if we get him :icon_mrgreen:
i do think we could be in a position to place a proper bid once mcgeady goes
