    I disagree, I think he's a great player. I think he's got everything you'd want in a striker probably just rusty as he missed most of last season. He's usually a clinical finisher plus he's hardworking with ability on the ball.

    Don't watch alot of Spanish football, but when I do he doesn't impress me, same goes when I see Argentina play.

    With my idea with a 3 with Pastore through the middle was for him to be given a free role, with Messi, so he could float around infront of the two holding midfielders and link up with Messi and the other two, preferably Aguero and Higgy.

    On the manager front. I think thats a problem with most international teams, players playing based on their names rather than form, which annoys me a little. I dont think their current manager is the right man for the job nor the right man to get the best out of Messi because hes playing players who are good players but dont make a good team instead of playing maybe not big names but create a good team. As i said though that kind of stuff goes in throughout international football.

    Cambiasso, based on the past few games for Argentina i've seen, is well passed it. Just not a patch on the player of 2 years ago. I wonder if the fact he was patched for the World cup has maybe affected him.

    EDIT: On Higuain, he for me is the best finisher in the world when 100% fit. Always in the right place at the right time. He's like a world class version of Gary Hooper.

    :eek1:

    We may be long lost brothers :56: I was going to say the exact same about Hooper. He even reminds me of Hooper the way the both look on the pitch, white boots, long sleeves and run, plus for me they both specialise in the 1 on 1 finish when going in to the box against the keeper.

    If I could pick any striker in the world to play in my team for the next 5 years it would be Higuain only Eto'o at the moment I think matches or betters him as Villa has declined.

    Surprises me that Pastore isn't playing - he's really been the form player the last season.

    I'm wondering if he wasn't one of Batista's "lads" fom the youth team, and so he's not getting a fair crack of the whip...

    Higuain is a great player. I don't think he is the best finisher in the world though.

    Its a shame how hes not getting games, especially over Di Maria who is an absolute *. Pastore could light games up with his brilliance, first time I seen him I thought I was watching a fit Paddy McCourt with pace.

    Would love to see him at Chelsea in Villas-Boas's 4-3-3 would suit him too a tee.

    Also back on Higuain. Would love to see him get out of Ronaldo's shadow. Infact if Arsenal want to man up and challange for the title. He would be a great signing in there team.

    :56: Higuain and Pastore are obviously better versions of Hooper and McCourt but Izaguirre is as good as Zuniga, Zuniga looks a wee bit more solid and defence minded but Izaguirre has a wee but more skill and class about him.

    Ramires = Scott Brown
    Sergio Romero = Forster :icon_mrgreen:
