Never mind that Euro 2016 rubbish... So what if this is just a gimmick to make a bit more of those US greenbacks, it will still be better :icon_mrgreen:
Got a few of the full squads now.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copa_América_Centenario_squads
The biggest name missing is Neymar, who is being rested for the Olympics. So Brazil will go with Hulk, Ricardo Oliveria and Gabigol up front. Dani Alves is the second highest scorer in the squad so goals will be a problem. Oliveria is 36 years old and so a waste of a space that should have probably have gone to Jonas of Benfica or Roberto Firmino.
Other big names not in the Brazil team are Kaká; Oscar, Fernandinho, Lucas Moura, Marcelo, David Luiz, Alex Sandro and Danilo.
Some other big names not listed include Teófilo Gutiérrez and Falcao García for Colombia; Martín Cáceres for Uruguay and Lucas Barrios, Victor Cáceres and Roque Santa Cruz for Paraguay.

Quick look, Argentina on paper have the best squad there. Not seen much of them since the world cup, but assuming everyone is a little bit older and wiser I think money has to be on them.
Nuts to realise mess I is still only 28. 29 this summer, guys got 2018 world cup and he will be 30/31 no reason he couldn't have another world cup after that at the age of 34/35 as a swan song.

That Brazil squad is very poor. Can't see past Argentina.

Just realising with this starting on June 3rd, there isn't going to be a week that we don't have football this year.
Between Europa tomorrow, cup finals this weekend, champ league weekend after, copa starts 3rd june, euros start 10th and finish 10th July. Champ league qualifiers will kick in as well as preseason, then Olympics as well. Gonna be a great summer of football

Will be rooting for USA and Brazil. Love some Argentinian players but can't stand their team (anymore)

Excited to see a young US attack with guys like the the amazingly named Bobby Wood, Jordan Morris, and Christian Pulisic hopefully getting time.

How good are Diego Alves and Alisson? Ederson is Oblakish (as in future world class). And has the best shot I ever seen in a keeper. Sadly he's probably headed to City, as Guardiola was thrilled by his performances against Bayern. Brazil is known for having trouble finding good keepers in recent years, he's the problem solver.

Mexico's team for their 'home' Copa haha. Rafael Márquez still there. -
Interesting story with Dos Santos' refusal to join. Wonder if he was told he wouldn't play much.
-
-
I don't think so, I think he's valued where he should be, but that Dos Santos most likely didn't want to spend so much time away if he wasn't going to play a lot. Osorio has been supportive of MLS, if not so effusive in his praise as his predecessor. But on the other hand, even if he detested the league he wouldn't be able to say anything as FMF wouldn't want to make SUM upset.

I dont know of maybe half the players in the Brazil team but this must be close to the best team they can field...
Diego Alves
D.Alves Marquinhos Miranda F.Luis
Rafinha L.Gustavo
Willian Coutinho D.Costa
Hulk
Even including Neymar and Thiago Silva thats still missing atleast 2 world-class players off a Brazil team.
Then again after slagging them they do really have Pepe, Thiago, Thiago Motta and Diego Costa who at their best a world class so they really would be one of the top teams if they played for them so have been robbed a bit.

The problem with Olympic squad now is Chelsea won't let Willian go. Dunga wanted his three over age players to be Neymar, Willian and Miranda. Then supplement them with some of the high class youngsters like Gabriel Jesus; Malcom, Rodrigo Caio, Wendell, Rafinha, Ederson etc. But that looks unlikely now.
Alisson
Filipe Luís - Gil - Miranda - Dani Alves
Luiz Gustavo - Elias
Douglas Costa - Lucas Lima - Willian
Gabriel
Very counter-attacking and just throw Gabigol in for the experience. -
