Very nice! Lots of snow? I had an online student from there a few years ago and from his descriptions, the winters there are quite something.

Assuming everyone stays, all we need this summer is 3 players: Tierney, Kvistgaarden, David Watson

    24-man squad
    [IMG]

Small squad = all players feel important, plus more opportunities for academy prospects to break into the first team

    Imo, Watson > Miller
    Sell/loan Nawrocki, Yang
    Welsh is fine for 4th choice. Wouldn't mind a replacement, but I don't think it's a priority.

    I largely agree with this.

I think Hatate will be sold in the summer, essentially replaced by Bernardo in that line up, I think he's a better player anyway. I'd like to see both Miller and Watson come in, with one of them going back to Motherwell/Killie on loan for a season.

Taylor is off, so I'd like us to sign Schlupp on a 1 or 2 year deal to be a reliable Tierney back up.

Maybe another RW as well so that 50 year old James Forrest isn't our back up.

Hatate and Bernardo are totally different players.

How are you measuring how good a captain is? I think they are just different personalities but in the same breath I think they both seem to be excellent leaders.

McGregor almost coaches from the park which is more suited to the modern player but i still get pumped up watching Broony in the tunnel before a game at Ibrox. If you are in the trenches you are taking Broony every time.

Probably my favourite Celtic picture is the one of him screaming in Dorrans’ face after smashing him at Hampden early doors.

We definitely still need more than 3 in the summer.

Another winger needed, forrest should be a fifth choice option now, seeing out his career and playing when required.

Would say two midfielders. I'd personally sign Miller and loan him out for a year and then I'd be signing another more physical box to box type.

Striker obviously needed and a CB too. I still look at that position and think we are quite weak.

One of the reasons why we are so successful is because we do have a 'spoilt' mentality as fans. We literally demand the best and let the board, manager, players know if we are unhappy with a result or a failed transfer window. Some fans do take it over the top as it's impossible to be perfect but the players know the expectations here because we demand success and nothing less. :fear:
    Again this is controversial :56:

I'd agree with this and funnily enough just been speaking about this to some mates.

All I'm seeing from the Huns is comparisons to when we were in the * after the covid debacle and we had shark gate etc and protests, then later down the line even people confronting lawwell. It's not always great to see but you're right in that we do have very high standards and there is at times a benefit to that.

I think they've became accustomed to the level they're at and it's hilarious. It even transfers into how they get so hyped up about players who show even a smidgen of ability.

There is a definite benefit to it. Some fans can be a bit OTT with the moaning but when we are in the * (granted it hasn't been very often) the club certainly know our feelings towards it.
The huns have literally accepted being second best. Could never be us

For me this more comes down to you need to look to strengthen from a position of strength. This current squad have been having a phenomenal season but you always need to look to improve where we can get the right players.

If it’s true Kvistgaarden was up for the move and it was Brondby stopping it I think he could almost be two players in one for us as he can play across the forward positions. You then have Maeda who can too, Idah as an out and out number 9 type striker and two out and out wingers in Jota and Kuhn. That is a very potent and flexible attack.

I do worry Kuhn may go in the summer but if he does it will be another big cash injection so going forward it’s a position we could invest in heavily. If Kuhn stays and we got a Kvistgaarden I would be happy with our options there.

Midfield, I think we could do with a more physical player whether that’s deep role or more box to box but it is a tricky one with us playing g McGregor as a single 6 in our 4-3-3. I think Hatate will go in the summer and as a result we need an attacking midfielder who is creative. I think we should look at Benjamin Nygren from Nordsjaelland or revisit Alvyn Sanches. I like Lennon Miller but I think he will go elsewhere, Watson has been in and out the Killie team this year and they play such a different way to us I find it hard to tell if he is good enough (not writing him off just unsure). Alternatively a more experienced player who I think would be a cracking player is Adem Zorgane and despite being more a deeper midfielder he is very creative but a solid physical unit. So at least 1 new centre midfielder.

At the back I think we need a centre back to cover for CCV and replace Nawrocki/Welsh/Lagerbielke who should all be sold. It would leave you with CCV, Trusty, New CB, Scales and Murray. I do worry CCV might decide it’s his time to move this summer.

At full back I think we will stick at right back and left back Tierney is coming in but whether we need another is down to if Taylor signs a new deal or not.

    Keepers are fine.

    Basically I would take

    Tierney
    New CB
    Centre midfielder
    Kvistgaarden

But we could in addition need another left back (If Taylor goes), centre midfielder (Hatate replacement) and right winger (if Kuhn left).
