I always thought the same about Roy Aitken, at times l thought he was an diddy and an awful player. It was only when he left you realised the influence he had in the team. Although a similar force in the team l never thought Brown was a diddy or awful player but when he left we were lucky to have Calum and Ange

I agree in part, however the importance of a leader and player with the mental strength Broony had in a team like Celtic who need to win every single week can't be overstated. He played an absolutely massive part in our consistency over the years he was here, and in his pomp was actually an excellent footballer.

I do agree on the point that he dominated the huns at a time when they were rotten. Generally speaking it was pretty even in our games against the old huns when Broony played. In Europe too, Broony no doubt held us back at times with his limitations, in games where his other attributes couldn't quite make up for them in the way they could domestically.

I think it's interesting when you start to think of McGregor vs. Brown.

McGregor has all the leadership qualities that Brown had (probably learned them from him) but also McGregor is a far better footballer and much more flexible tactically.

I think to an extent Brown suffered from inconsistent management at times in his career which probably didn't help him achieve his best.

One thing I would point to is his first season under Rodgers. I couldn't believe how good he was that season. Head and shoulders above all other seasons for me. I think if he had managers like that through his time at Celtic he would've been a far better footballer.

Disagree with the majority of this and I've always thought Brown's technical ability is underrated.

If I remember correctly in Rodgers first season he had one of the top passing statistics in the Champions League group stage that year.

I remember that. Broony was first pick under several managers for a very good reason. Someone said McGregor is a better footballer and I agree, but I don't think that undermines Broony's quality that he showed for many years.

There were times under Mowbray and Deila where I think he was playing through injuries, and obviously his final season, where he wasn't performing well, but over a career poor form happens to every footballer.

The club should be sending out new season tickets every season with bespoke designs.

There also shouldn’t be a £1.50 charge for ‘activating’ season tickets for cup games.

Not making a pun relating to your post would've been criminal.

I'm not convinced the club has learned much from the Lennon disaster.
