    Park Ji Sung played in a Champions League final this year and Lee at Bolton was very good until his injury. So it is a decent achievement.

    Yes, it is so right, and also, a lot of fans here are saying "Ki is our real future in football with Lee Chung Yong". Some boy fans even suggest 'I'll take his military duty instead so that he could just concentrate on football and could be a real world star." :D

    Well, but we(including myself) love Chu Young park, too, anyway Chu Young will be soon 27 yrs old and already regarded as a veteran here, and considering age, I think Ki could show much more things to us in future. Well, I think no one in S.Korea would particularly deny the fact that Ki is our poster boy. He is actually regarded as the most reliable and important player among our national football team as a midfilder.

    ..found it very difficult to say Chu Young has not been the poster boy for our football though. You're right, he had been in Slump for a while, and criticised by football fans sometimes but still, he has contributed to our football team until now, with many goals at important games. And he actually has good nature too. So, well....Sorry, it's very hard for me to compare Park and Ki. I just think they are all very good players and both are very important players to us. ^^;;

    Yes, You're right.
    That episode had been an issue for a while, in Korea. :)

    I have a mate that lives in Asia, according to him Ji Sung Park is a *. No one comes close to him in terms of adulation.

    For sure mate, as I said earlier Park is Asia's version of Beckham.

    Park Ji Sung is our great footballer, no one in Korea would deny it.
    Ji Sung is really concentrating on football all day long, I've heard. His thoughts and attitudes afford a good examples to other young Korean footballers. He doesn't act like super star, has many good ideas and doing many good things for Asian football. Ji Sung is actually regarded the most greatest Korean footballer since Cha *.(Du-ri's father)

    We just hope Ki and Lee Cung-Young and other our young players could follow Ji Sung and even surpass him, in future. (And they are all very very close, one another.)

    Yeah, Ji Sung seems like an absolute gent.

    Hopefully Ki can keep developing and eventually one day skipper S.Korea. Do you think Ki will be next in line for the captaincy after Chu Young?

    Not sure until when Chu young could be a captain for our national team('cos he also has to do his military duty) but, maybe after about 3 years, I think Ki will be in line for the captaincy after Chu young, yes.(Chu young is a nice captain, imo)

    Well, a lot of fans here(S.K.) all have so different opinions but Ki is surely one of the players who could be our next captain. 'Cos he has good leadership, and does cherish his teammates, and so he is much beloved by our national team players.

    When will Ki have to do his military duty? How long are we talking and is there anyway out of it?

    I don't know exactly when but I just assume Ki would go to do his military duty(for about 2 years) around 30years old. (30 years old is the maximum age that can postpone this duty)

    And if S.K Olympic football team could achieve above bronze at Olympics or goldmedal at Asian Games, then Ki could be exempted from the military duty. (No World cup, No Asian cups.// Only Olympic, and Asian Games could provide the exemptions to the players)

    Anyway, Ki hasn't been picked as a Olympic team members this time(for London Olympics), 'cos he has to play for the national team(for Worldcup), so, even if our S.K olympic team could achieve bronze at Olympics(It seems very unreal, though ^^;;)), Ki can't be exempted this time.
    There is still a possibility for Ki to be picked as a wild card for 2016 Olympics and next Asian Games, but still, I'm afraid the exemption system looks very so far away, for our football team. ;;;

    (And this is one of I am praising Ki, 'cos he hadn't complained anything when he knew he couldn't be played for Asian Games, in order to play for the national team for worldcup. It means blocking the entrance of being exemption but he just accepted the coaches' decision, and has been just doing his best for the national team like always. He is a good boy.)

    Aye fair play to him.

    Would rather he was doing the business on a consistent basis for the 'Tic right enough.

    May add to his transfer value which is a good thing when he gets the heave ho.
