Spain have been the best team in the world for several years now, the first team in history to win 3 International competitions in a row and yet you sound surprised :56:

I always thought Messi was the only guy you could say plays the game as if he were a character in FIFA but the ball control Iniesta has defies all logic.

You could boot the ball at his face full force with 4 opponents around him and he would still bring it down, wriggle away from them and slide a through ball to a striker as if it were the easiest thing in the world.

Spain were impressive last night. I think 2-1 flatters Uruguay. Mark Lawrenson (I know he's a bawbag) said -during commentary - 'It's a 2-0 massacre' which it was at the time. They're all just so relaxed and comfortable in possession. They had 90% possession for the first 10-15 minutes of the game.

I don't understand why some people say they're boring to watch, some of the quick link-up play in the final third is incredibly skilful and although they don't play high-tempo attacking football they show patience and harmony as a team.

Also heard one of the commentators saying Tahiti team is all amateurs except one profressional who plays in Greece :smiley-laughing002:
He was. The speed and comfort he controls the ball is amazing, and his intelligence too.

Interesting one for the gamblers tonight.

As much as I would love Tahiti to shock the world, it surely cannot happen. Nigeria -5 is 13/2 on William Hill, I think thats a massive price. I'm thinking of maybe taking them at -6 or -7 bearing in mind that Tahiti were beaten 7-0 by Chile's under 21's in a warm up for this and Nigeria actually have to win.

Lookin forward to it, live on bbc 1.

Tahiti coach Eddy Etaeta is adopting a defence-first policy to avoid embarrassment in Brazil, but a 7-0 warm-up defeat against Chile's under-20 side does not bode well. Etaeta described that loss as a "spanking" and admits to having "a lot of apprehension".
He added: "I'm afraid we will go to Brazil and not give a very good image of Tahitian football. Yes, we play football but normally it's for fun, mixed in with a bit of competition. But we can't play for fun now."

with a weakened nigeria team and disputes over player bonuses, I don't think it will be as comfortable as people seem to think. 3-0 I think.

Nigeria will take at least 5 off Tahiti you'd imagine.
