    Not strange in the slightest, you don’t throw in somebody who isn’t used to the defence or team around them away from home in Europe, in one of the biggest games of the season.

    Even one/two more games and he’d have been sound but his suspension * that

    Players take time to gel. I think it's a big risk playing him with next to no experience with the other defenders. We've already had to go with a new LB & RB.

    The suspension part I agree with but when in my opinion, a £7m player in Scotland is someone who is good to go from game 1. Big money players are relied upon to be ready asap. That luxury wouldn't be afforded if bought in January. You could say why are Boli and El Hammed playing. Hayes more than capable of filling that Lb slot and Ajer at Rb if its familiarity that your looking for in defence.

    Its early doors and I'm sure he will be first Choice Cb along with Ajer in time.

    Why he’s not starting? We spent big money on him, I was under the impression that games like last night are some of our most important of the season and he was bought to help in theee kinda games.
