There's nothing wrong with that insta post in isolation but I'm sick of him and his social media pish..

Rather he just done one now. Too much sour grapes coming from him as well no getting game time and near demanding to be played on the last day..

    Catch you big man..

Good luck to him, good defender and gave his all, just couldn't play on plastic pitches. Gave us a few good moments.

Dont understand the hate hes getting.

Hes a very competent CB, who always gave 100% for the shirt and is frustrated and not getting game time.

The way ppl are getting on over this is the real riddy imo.

Its not like hes sitting on his * collecting a cheque. Hes worked his balls off to recover from a career blow of an injury and is desperate to play football.

It’s not that he’s frustrated about being on the bench, it’s about expressing it publicly.

Everyone knows that he’s busting to get back, but to be making his demands to the manager public, in what seemed like an attempt to ratchet up pressure on Ange to give him game time is a no no.

The way I look at it is from the position of a goal keeper. There’s no changing the goal keeper while they are playing well and your defence is the best in the league. The goal keeper union literally states, there’ll be no complaining, you’ll work together for the better of the team. So it comes down to you’ll be ready if someone gets injured.

Julien should be emulating the keepers and their goal keeping union.

Everyone likes him. You could see that with his reception. However coming out publicly demanding game time when the teams in such a great place is a big no no. We have a team fighting for each other, yet he's fighting for only himself. Time to leave. Having players like that is how we ended up in a mess.

    100%

I'm really thankful for his service. The goals against the huns and Lazio are right up there for me.

However, it's clear he isn't in our plans moving forward and is a top eaner. He must move on this summer.

The hate is coming from the fact that our fans don't understand when players want to leave celtic.

Its very clear why he would want to. I wish him no ill and as you say he's rightly no doubt frustrated at his lack of opportunity. That's not to say I disagree with him not getting more of a chance. But any professional footballer who actually cares about their game would be * at a lack of football.

I don't agree with coming out in the press etc but same time, every * makes mistakes, particularly during moments of frustration.

Aye I have no ill will towards him, those goals against Lazio and the huns will be fondly remembered. Hope the big man gets a solid move.

On the other hand he stays quiet, says nothing and we all assume he is sat on the bench happy to rob a wage from us. I kind of get why he has come out. To say he isn't happy bit playing football isn't offensive. He wants game time which make our choice easy, play him or offload him.

He's not been terribly professional in the way he's made his grievances public but at the same time he probably should have had some more game time. There was games where he could be trusted to relieve CCV and Starfelt at CB, I'd certainly play him ahead of Welsh. I worry sometimes that Ange's favouritism for certain players could work against him with a big squad. We play a lot of diddy teams where there's plenty opportunity for rotation and it's just good squad management to give guys like Julien his day.

It’s how he’s done it. In your case, all he’s got to say in the interview is that he’s working his socks off to get back into the team. Doesn’t need to make threats to the manager about game time.

    Couples of points...

    1. Every manager has those that they favour. It's impossible not to.
    2. That said, apart from Hart, the 2 CB's & CalMac, Ange has been pretty flexible and rotational with regards to every other part of the pitch, whether on the wings, up top, in midfield or at FB.
    3. Having a stable GK/CB/DCM provides a lot of the foundation for letting the others do their thing.

It is unfortunate that things seem to be souring for Julien. It was a shame he got injured when he did, bailing Barkas out, and had he not been out for 18 months I dare say that he would not be in this situation now either, but this is where we are. Am sure Julien is disappointed, fans are disappointed, but this is the reality of football, and only very few get the fairytale endings.

Our centre half of our partnership was unbreakable. They didn't lose a single domestic game in the league together..

Jullien got game time against Raith and was woeful and slow as *. I then watched him month's later in a b team game against the huns recently and he was just as immobile there as he was previously...and he was never quick. Infact he was brutal in that game and went down holding his leg for age's again..

He's done here and Ange was right to leave him aside...especially when you see his quotes to the press before our last game..
