Grand old team to play for
Sure I read somewhere that Starfelt played on the right before coming to us.

It would be good to see him come in to the team for the weekend as games like last night it would have been good to even have had him as an option to come on at the back and give us more aerial presence to defend our box.

It was another reason to have brought Giakoumakis on earlier too.

The form of Starfelt and CCV is what has kept him out also

Needs gametime at the weekend, ideally start if he's fit.

He obviously sustained a very serious injury, If it wasnt for the wonders of modern day medicine and surgery he would be struggling to play again. As good as CCV and Starfelt have been it would be interesting to see CCV and Julien together.

I do think if he doesn’t play much of a part by the end of the season we might look to move him on because I imagine he’s a big earner.

In fact some amount of our better earners aren’t making much of a contribution this season Ajeti, Forrest, Barkas, and Julien because of injury obviously but if that continues.

Been thinking similar. Been back fit for a good few weeks now and isn't even making the bench now.
Ange's centre half's all quite similar, good on the ball, mobile and none overly tall. Starfelt, CCV and Welsh all very similar in stature. Added to fact Jullien is into last year of his deal in summer maybe he's not one Ange sees as a long term option.
Shame if so tho as still think he's a very good centre half

It is worrying the lack of gametime he has had over the last few weeks and not even making the squad yesterday.

Such a pointless injury too. Remember at the time when he was being carried off was a bad one and sevco game days away. 2-0 at home to Dundee utd and he was prob too honest/brave. Hopefully gets back to it. Hopefully see him start at the weekend

Wouldn't be reading too much into it, he plays the weekend and plays well he's an injury at CB away from getting back into the team. If he proves himself over next 6 months deserves a contract. Although he's not pirlo he's not far from what we have got already at CB with the ball at his feet

Hopefully he is fit and able to at least get some game time this weekend. At this point barring injury or suspension it is CCV and Starfelt for the rest of this season. But it would be good to see Jullien at least begin to work his way back into contention over the rest of this season.

He's a top defender, hoping he comes back and performs. CCV, Starfelt and him are great options.

Julien was one I always highly rated. There is no doubt it has been a long road back and the training methods of Ange by all accounts are extremely trying on the players. It could take a while to get fully up to speed. Should start this weekend.

Long-term absentee Christopher Jullien will return to the squad, with Postecoglou hinting this tie may be a good chance to get him back into competitive action.

Christopher Jullien is available. He’ll be in the squad. In terms of game time, whether he starts our not, I’ll have a look after tomorrow’s training but he’s training okay and if we get through training tomorrow he’ll be in the squad.”

For those thinking that his absence has been protracted, possibly indicating a no goer, I wouldnt think so.

His injury was as serious as it gets for a pro footballer.

Combine his road to recovery, along with Anges high tempo style of training, AND that the Carl / Cameron pairing has been excellent; its to be expected that we've had to wait.

Lennon /BR would have had him out starting 4 weeks ago ffs. Ange, despite the vigor of his training style, doesnt seem to keen to rock the boat, especially when CB isnt a problem area right now.

Today will see his first lick of game time and we'll see how far along he actually is.

We've definitely missed his threat at set pieces, as Starfelt seems to have a 50p for * head.
